No. This is because is not that there from the same universe, but with the same aesthetics. This don't apply Wesker and Chis because even if they are in the same games, one has super speed and the other is just your average bad ass soldier. But if, and makes this an example, adds Jill to the roster... well their just filling characters of the same aesthetic to it (Chis - Jill).
Now, Tron Bonne and Zero is in the roster. Those two are different in style and looks of play. Now... Add Megaman to the mix (and not saying is a bad idea, I like Megaman) and you are repeating the patter like some of the characters in the roster (Zero - Megaman). This makes the lineup lack of diversity in terms of characters in their respective universes, not to be confused with gender or anything. It's not to say that MvC2 didn't have this problem, but even with the large roster of players, this was no a problem. They bring this criticism to themselves(CAPCOM) because of developing and spending in this times are different, and can't reach a number of characters like in MvC2. They just need to be more diverse with the roster, that's all.
At this point, 28 characters have been confirmed. They said in the range of 40 will featured in the game. Those perhaps 12 left should make or break my expectation for the roster, I hope CAPCOM proves me wrong.

I know they're not the same but having Wolverine/X23 and now Hulk/She Hulk... There is even a rumored list (which predicted She Hulk and Zero) that says Spider Woman is in this game.
I am all for female characters but to have these analogous pairs seems terrible. Either just have Hulk or just have She Hulk. Why not use Rogue instead just to keep the "female bruiser" character?

Ms. Marvel would be a pretty awesome addition, but she shows up pretty frequently in marvel video games. Shulkie on the other hand almost never shows up as a playable character.

- She is not a clone character of Hulk. If you actually watch the video and compare it to videos of Hulk in MvC3, you'll see that She-Hulk is much more a grappler than Hulk, with nary a projectile in sight.
- In the comics, She-Hulk has had a far more varied career than her big angry counterpart, joining a variety of super teams such as the Avengers and the Fantastic Four and taking her law degree to places that the normal Jennifer Walters would have never have imagined, such as the various aspects of superhuman law and even a stint as an intergalactic arbiter.
- For those who love Deadpool's irreverence and fourth-wall-breaking nature, She-Hulk was doing that sort of stuff before Deadpool was even created.
