It's no fun hearing about people losing their jobs moving into the holiday season. I wish these people all the best.

On a more upbeat note, I just got offered $750 to sell my PortaCube to someone, I built the unit myself one year ago this month.

I really don't understand Lucasarts' corporate vision. They begin to hire on staff and start some good initiatives like bringing back their old back catalogue and then they lay off most of their staff and just stop on the momentum. Monkey Island is the only brand they've shown any real love to and event hat's stalled. What a waste of a set of IPs but that's George for you.

@commonperson You realize George has very little to do with how things are run at Lucasarts, right?

Monkey Island is definitely the one I'm most worried about. Telltale really revived the series and gave us a sequel better than even the original developers could have.

If it's the end of the series now, it's at least gone out on a high note unlike MI4, but I'd hate to see an internal Lucas team take over and inevitably make a mess of things.

Oh I know he has little to do with it which is sad. If a company had my name I'd be more interested in it's day to day business but I was making a joke.

That's the thing I think the days of internal work at LA ar at an end I think most of it's going to be outsourced like MI and TOR which looking at Force Unleashed II it may be a good thing.

Face it Lucas Arts you cant make good Star Wars games anymore. Bioware was the best thing that happened to SW games.

How can LucasArts restate their commitment to internal development when they're FIRING all the internal developers? Maybe LucasArts doesn't realize what they're saying.
