This new Donkey Kong Country Returns trailer means this game's not kidding around. Retro Studios may have borrowed Rare's colorful designs, but it added a vicious platforming challenge to Kong's new banana-collecting adventure. Guess it really is on like ... well, you know.

I would say 'It's on like Donkey Kong', but no, we're already dead.
This game looks so difficult, and I can't wait to play it. :D

@DarkKingSilvers I think we're only allowed to say "it's on like Diddy Kong." But wait, Diddy Kong is still trademarked... Hm, let's avoid infringement... "It's on like Kiddy Dong." Solved it.

Next E3: "We'd like to introduce to you our brand new console: Wiii! It is backwards compatible with all Wii games, but here's something totally crazy we added, just for our fans. You can now SMELL your games! We added this feature, because we felt that for the player to truly feel they are in the game, they need to feel it with all of their six senses.
To show you one of our favourite examples, here's Donkey Kong Country Returns.
That smell of burnt hair and flesh, and charred meat, it really raises an appetite, doesn't it? Just wait till you get to the final boss. I guarantee that soon enough you will be smelling week old monkey corpses.

I'm so ready for this game. Gonna go ape when I pick it up, not shave until I finish it and throw my poop when I die 700 times in a row.

hmmm, i just don't know why I would pay 50 bucks for it when I can satiate my platforming urges with super meat boy, or any other xbla/indie game.

Well, it looks to me that it offers no real gameplay change to a series that came out in the mid 90's. All I'm saying is that Nintendo is going backwards. New super mario bros was trying to imitate classic mario, goldeneye is goldeneye, and Donkey Kong Returns is Donkey Kong Country.
Platforming, to me, is something that I enjoy in relatively small quantities. I could just buy DKC on wiiware, or continue playing super meat boy.

I will have this game at Christmas.
I'd like to get it at launch but have so many other games going on right now (Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, Alan Wake, NHL 11 (360), FIFA 11 (360), Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce (360), MW2 (PC), Neverwinter Nights (PC), L4D (PC), L4D2 (PC), Worms: Reloaded and Alien Swarm) that I don't have the time for another one quite yet.

Holy crap! This is non-stop. I guess no one will know the idle animation for either character since you die if you even slow down for half a second judging by how close-cutting the plataforming seems to be.

I don't think I've been this excited to yell at my TV before.
Gonna try to get this day one, if I have the cash. Or just trade in Epic Yarn...
