Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 DLC explores Endor

Ewoks!
Ahem, now that we've gotten that out of the way, allow us to excitedly tell you about the forthcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 DLC that LucasArts just announced (via IGN). The DLC takes place on planet Endor -- home of the infamously adorable/annoying Ewoks -- during the events of Return of the Jedi. LucasArts Singapore executive producer Gio Corsi explains how this fits into the story by comparing it with the previous game's DLC. "We like to call this an 'infinite storyline,' much like the Hoth Bonus Mission from the first Force Unleashed game that gave us an alternate take on that iconic battle from the Empire Strikes Back."
Corsi also says that players won't be able to bring in their leveled up Starkiller from the main campaign. "We leveled Starkiller differently for the DLC since this adventure falls into the 'infinite universe.' He does have the same abilities as he did in TFU2, which allows Starkiller to start kicking ass right from the get go." No solid release date was given (it's coming "later this year") but a LucasArts rep confirmed it'll cost just $1 (oddly, a forthcoming character skin pack is also set at $1).

Hey, why don't they focus on making DLC to finish that campaign thing in the game instead of non-cannon classic trilogy levels?

Cannon go boom, maybe you mean canon. :P

How about some DLC to fix up the suckiness?

The Force Unleashed 2 should be called an "infinite storyline."

How about they add 6 free DLC levels so they can call it a complete game?
That would be a start anyway.
Seriously, that game was a big FU 2 the fans.

I'm surprised. I mean, I only played the demo but I thought it was fun. Why didn't it live up to expectations? Is it too short? Because the gameplay (at least from the demo) plays like an improved version of the first one. All the reviews said it wasn't a sequel to live up to the first one, but these are the same reviewers who said the first one was bad. Can't they make up their minds?

The story wasn't like the first, where it was amazing. No, this time there was not story. Seriously, it was practically non-existent. Only one question was raised (is he a clone or not) and it wasn't even answered by the end of the game. Also, the game was terribly short. I beat it in 4 hours or less.
It's like... is a bag of M&Ms good? Sure! Would you pay $60 for it? Hell no.

It really wasn't that bad... Unless you're rushing to finish the game, I cannot see how one could beat it in 4 hours. There's always running around the offbeaten path to find those holocrons, plus the destructible environments. Was it short? I finished it at right around 7 hours, so in a word, yes. However, there's tons of challenge levels plus some replay value to see the second ending and find all the holocrons/level up/standard trophy hunting. Worth $60? No, but hardly any games are. I found it improved over the first in every way except the story, but that's slightly forgiven since it was a lot of fun.

Thought about picking this up and then saw the reviews. Kind of liked the first one although for me it was more about being a SW fanboy and perservering through it. Still, the thought of kicking Teebo's and Wicket's butt across Endor could be fun.

ill wait till the inevitable complete "jedi" edition where they have all the dlcs there, then wait for it to show up pre owned at gamestop, buy it used, beat all the dlc, then return it for a full refund.

@8bitartist Meanwhile the rest of the lucasarts team gets the boot. It's not a terrible idea to actually spend money on stuff you consume now and then. Though, I'll admit I was left feeling like a major sucker after buying the first two dlc packs for the fist game.

This game was not worth the gas that I used getting to gamestop to buy it. I wish I had stolen it and then gotten a full cash refund, because they really should have paid me for the wasted 3 hours it took to beat it. Maybe those folks at Lucas Arts should have been fired. Severe I know, but Star Wars games rarely live up to their expectations.

I went out and bought this...the collectors edition..before the trolls have at me..yeah it was a little disappointing.
First - The Mimobot (2gb...really?) doesn't format properly to be used w/ my 360..which was my plan for the thing..which is super lame..
Second- the content on it..didn't work off the bat..and it took me following a workaround posted on the lucasarts forums by a user to fix it..(he posted his zip file of the content he got..solved the problem for many users)....
Third...and most importantly..the game I breezed through...I'm a light player and I finished this in less then a week...welll scratch that..I actually saved at the last boss fight and planned on beating it later...lol
Fourth/last....yeah the story was a little whacko...but I didn't really let that bother me..suspend disbelief I always say...which allows me to appreciate such awesomely bad movies like last action hero, robocop 2-3 and even demolition man!
so yeah...I'm a little jaded..but I have to say...hearing the announcement of some DLC...set in the ROTJ plot (my fave in the series for sure) brightened my day immensely..I'm looking forward to it and much more..would multiplayer be too much to ask?

I think one of the problems is that people hold Star Wars to a higher standard than other franchises and as such are more critical of anything NOT "Original Trilogy". It's something that's been with most of us for most of our lives. Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw in a theater back in the 70s. We've a vested interest so to speak and can be overly critical if it doesn't fit properly.
Having said that though, while unfortunately short, I did enjoy the game and played through it twice. Yes, I'm a SW fanboy I guess. It's a great feeling being able to wield the force in a game and I think TFU 1&2 pulled it off nicely. You're a bad-ass and it shows.
Frankly I'm looking forward to the inevitable sequel. Gotta be a trilogy right!? Hopefully we'll get the option to customize our saber style like the "Jedi Knight" games. Perhaps even on the fly which would also be nice. Make some use of that d-pad.
As for Endor... it's a wait and see I guess.

This was the Ewok stuff that was already on the disc, right?
These "DLC" money schemes are getting out of hand, I'm boycotting this game all together.

I think someone already found this in the code of the PC version. They couldn't play it, but it was there.
