It's not enough to have a commercial before the video, now there's a pop up ad over the video as it plays.

Gosh.

Agreed. I couldn't even read the descriptions at the bottom of the screen because they were covered by the ad.

I don't mind ads; I understand their purpose. But when they obscure your sites content you have a problem.

Yep, couldn't see what it said at the bottom. Stupid Shrek - I hate that movie now and because of this I will never see it - the advertising has had the opposite effect of its intent.

Uh, I'm not sure why its such an interesting factoid, honestly. So they used graphics to make the graphics? And more for the SNES than the NES? Shocking!

What everyone really wants is a true 25th Anniversary collection that has all the Mario appearances on NES/SNES/N64/Gamecube games on disc.

Seriously, I want to play Donkey Kong, Mario Bros. and then Mario Kart 64 on the same disc.

Gonna need a lot of discs since the Wii still uses single layered optical discs

Actually, Wii uses dual-layered DVD-ROM, just like the Xbox 360. Same capacity discs as Xbox 360, yep.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl was the first dual-layer disc.

Yeah, that & Metroid Prime Trilogy. Dual layered has caused the Wii problems so I don't think nintendo will uses them too much

Yeah, that & Metroid Prime Trilogy. Nintendo doesn't need that much space for their games & the dual layered has caused some problems for most wiis. Nintendo games aren't useually that big in terms of space so 4.7 gb should be enough for what you asked for anyways

@Guts If you haven't played Okami on the PS2 yet, you should try the Wii port, it's dirt cheap everywhere. Seeing that you listed a few RPGs, The Last Story is also a game to look foward to in the future... if NOA ever localizes it that is.

Another video instantly backed out of when a commercial started to play. Joystiq staff, if you're going to sink this low, then at least warn your readers by the video window, before we hit the play button, so we can make an informed decision. Thank you.

That's a kind of random selection! For instance, Fragile Dreams - I very much liked it and definitely recommend it to people who like that sort of game (especially to those who like Japanese voice acting), but there are lots of better Wii games that you should probably pick up too if you get the system. I loved the story and locations/world and the memory items, but there isn't a whole lot of actual gameplay.

For example, both Mario Galaxies are absolutely stunning. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't like those games at least enough to be worth buying them. You can probably get them used now (ebay etc) for a good price.

That aside - if you do like Fragile Dreams, you might want to consider Cursed Mountain, which is sort of in the same vein and also has good voice acting, though English this time. Nobody bought it so you can probably get it in bargain bin for basically nothing, but I thought this was a good game too (again, gameplay is lacking, world/story is great).
