I'd rather shoot my roommate with an airsoft gun.

@chromekreeper Yeah, this looks cool and all, but with Ubisoft's proprietary DRM system, your gun has to be connected to the computer with an ethernet cable at all times, so that Ubisoft can be sure you're not using pirated hardware.

@OzCueball Don't listen to Mr. ESC. Teach it a lesson by installing Norton Anti-Virus and turning on constant auto-scan.

I think this product would have more luck in Texas if it fired real bullets.

Being a Texan myself, I agree with you.

Ouch. if it wasn't so pricey, this would be cool to have.

I had something similar to this, except it had bandana that would shock your brain when you were shot (and glow red!)... probably not the best toy, but was fun :)

I had something almost exactly like this 15 years ago. It was a blast running around the yard playing tag with it.

@shouryuuken

Double-posting is already posting twice, so double-posting twice would be quadruple-posting. Is that what you meant?

@Draco Yeah, that was the Survivor Shot from Tomy. Compatible with the original Worlds of Wonder Lazer Tag system, but much better range and it was harder to hide your sensor - and your gun locked out for a few seconds when you took a hit. Very sophisticated for its time (early 1990s).

@ANeM You and your friends got together one evening to watch a Ubisoft press conference...possibly via a 640x360 window. What were you saying about ridiculous again?

Seen it in the stock room at work the other day. I SO want to open it up and try it out. I'll ask my manager on Monday if we can use it in store for product demonstration purposes =D

If you wish to do so for "Demonstration purposes" at your job, I'd hate to see what you look like.

I'd get it if it came with the Ubisoft models and Joel McHale would commentate all my games with them.
