I think $3 dollars a song, with no bundles (yet) is ridiculous. There's no way you can convince me that coreographing a dance routine to a song is significantly more expensive than the work that goes into a Rock Band 3 track.

I guess HMX are regretting the price point they made for Rock Band and didn't want to make the same mistake here. But it just seems expensive to me.

@BathTub Consider that these tracks include choreography. I'd assume that implementing choreography into a song is more complicated and more expensive than the instrument enabled tracks. Probably breaks down to, RB: $1.50 song license and + $.50 Instrument track. DC: $1.50 song license and + $1.50 Choreography.

@BlackedOut Yeah I've seen that. It's a modular dance game. the idea that they have to get the choreographer into a mocap suit for every routine is hilarious.
Also embedding new moves into DLC seems quite bizarre as then it wouldn't be available to other DLC, so it has to be in every song afterwards that uses it rather than part of the game. All very odd.

@BathTub: I think you're assuming it is a bit more modular than it is.

Have you played the game yet? Each song has different moves, and it's not like any full time developer can hop in the mo-cap suit and have a go at it.

Great choice. I probably will buy 1 or 2. Pretty good DLC so far.

@Wazzup4567 Actually, there were noises that Dance Central was going to be made for WiiMote and Move too. Of course, it would be hands only....

@JonahFalcon

"Don’t expect a Wii version however. Apparently, it can’t collect enough data nor can it track things in a way Harmonix would prefer. This means there’s “no chance” of a Wiimote-controlled Dance Central."

I only have a Wii :\

LeVar Burton, aka Kunta Kinte in Roots, aka the host from Reading Rainbow, aka Geordi LaForge in Star Trek TNG, aka the detective in Cameo's 'Word Up' music video.

Learn it. Know it. Live it.
