Nice. We already have some news about anouncements Sony will make around the Spike Awards. It's a marketing war, and no participant want to be behind.

Surely Nintendo will show lots of 3DS stuff on the CES, but hopefully we'll see some new, unanounced titles for Wii, too. Specially considering 2010 was a very good year for the plataform, the Land of Mario must show it was no accident and 2011 will bring interesting games

Nintendo wants to counter attack a PSP2 announcement, I guess...

@FernandoRocker - I figured that since the 3DS was the hot new shit, they'd want the masses to know. I hadn't even factored in the PSP2.

I have no idea what this would mean for me. Either I'm so stoked for Ocarina of Time remake and StarFox 64 3D, or the PSP, as a brand, has lost it's hold on my interest; the last game I got was Peace Walker, and I - sadly - haven't even gotten Ghost of Sparta yet.

And for those thinking Wii HD or Wii 2, don't. Nintendo still needs to hype people up for the 3DS, so showing off new handheld and portable tech at the same show wouldn't work. E3 at the earliest, if at all possible.

@Leetninja muffin

I think the fist shake should be directed to Rovio and not to Nintendo...

@Leetninja muffin I think it would need to be a far more robust version of the game... with DS games around 40 bucks a piece I doubt anyone would pay that much for Angry birds...

@Milf Biggenson

You're thinking of the Adult Entertainment Expo, but I'll bet Nintendo goes there as well.

Secretly, of course.

Expect more 3DS info to be leaked, including the price and release date

They're definitely gonna showcase the 3DS there, along with price and release date if they're still planning on releasing it by the end of their fiscal year (March 31, 2011).

Vitality Sensor also sounds likely, given that they don't want to show that in gaming-centered expos like E3. Might see some Skyward Sword being showcased with the Wii Remote Plus, but CES is more about the gadgets than the games, so I wouldn't expect a lot in terms of software.

Coby has a booth? I've never seen a company compromise quality so severely just to hit a cheaper price point.

Methinks this is where we get the US launch date and price of the 3DS.
