You know, not all Black Friday shopping bonanzas require you to put yourself in danger of getting thrown under the feet of thrift-hungry mobs -- some, like the Steam "Give & Get" sale, let you access discounts from the comfort of your safe house. The digital distributor is offering a new batch of deals every day, starting today, until Monday, November 29, including discounted games and heavily discounted "gift packs" -- for example, today, you can grab ten copies of Half-Life 2 for you and your chums for $20.
We suppose you could also buy ten copies of Half Life 2 for yourself, but ... that would kind of go against the reason for the season, wouldn't it? Speaking of, on each day of the sale, Valve will randomly pull 30 usernames out of its magical hat and gift said users with the top five games on their wish lists (of at least ten games). You do have a wish list, don't you?

TF2 for $2.50 again, please?

They said they wouldn't do it for $2.50 ever again. But knowing Valve's humor, maybe they will.
Now if they did 10 copies of TF2 for $20, that wold be an even bigger hit.

They kept bouncing it back between $2.50, $5 (and I think) $7.
Then put it down to $1.99 for like 4 hours, and said it wasn't going to be that low ever again.

How do some of you still not have TF2 yet? It was worth it ever since it was released with the Orange Box (even the stand-alone version at full cost, but considering that Orange Box was only $10 more . . .) and it's only gotten better with new updates, weapons, items, and it's been on sale more than quite a few times already.

Those are the unofficial mascots of Steam. At least the black, yellow, and orange ones are.
They represent hardcore gamers (black), normal gamers (orange), and newbies (yellow).

is alpha protocol worth it under this discount?

@FZero Ignore the whiny reviews about the game, AP was fantastic and well worth the money. It could have been a bit more polished but it manages to have better writing than most AAA games on the market today. (And Steven Heck is the best character ever.)

I knew this was coming. That's why I didn't pay attention to any Amazon or Best Buy PC deals.
I've still got stuff I haven't played from their last blowout sale yet.
