Amazon offers discounts on Metroid, Majin and AC: Brotherhood

"No, Joystiq, I don't need any more games," you whisper to yourself. "I've got this huge 2010 backlog already -- heck, I haven't even played Bayonetta yet, and that came out in January."
Your plight is shared by many gamers, but there's little point in protesting. You're going to pick up one of these deals and remain excited until you receive it, play past the intro and then place it on your to-play pile. Amazon lightning deals now offer to extend your intimidating backlog with Metroid: Other M for $30 (that's one dollar off for every cutscene eye roll) and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for $15.
Upcoming lightning deals also hint at a reduced price for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (going live at 6:15PM PST), Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Outside of lightning deals, you'll also find Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom for $23.
"Well, that is pretty tempting," you mutter. "Maybe I'll check those -- wait, how do you guys know what I'm saying before I've even read this post? Is this a trick? Maybe if I say something unexpected ... garlic cannonball! Flamingo scabbard! Gravity donut! Okay, stop it! This is... this is scaring me."

Fantastic price on Majin, but still going to pass. Backtracking and Escort games are two of my least favorite gaming elements, and this game appears to be heavily comprised of both.

Must check Brotherhood's deal later. That's one title I want to get.

This seems ok but I want more games on there! I only found brotherhood interesting

I had a $20 code and just ordered Majin, so it only cost me $2.99.
I got another code that i'm waiting to use with the AC:BH lightning deal.

Thanks for the tip! I'm embarrassed to say I haven't played Uncharted yet, but I will remedy that straightaway!

Thanks Joystiq, I'll have to check the AC:BH later. I want to get in on this unique type of multiplayer everyone is talking about.

I don't get it, there's no "add to cart" option and when you click to go to the lightning deals, the game you're looking for is nowhere in site amongst lists of crap no one wants. How do you add these deals to your cart?

It's worth mentioning they also have FlingSmash with the Wii Motion Plus controller for only $29.99 but only for the next 13 minutes. Hurry hurry.

I never knew the end credits could be considered eye roll worthy.

First off, if you haven't played Bayonetta yet, then you're missing out on the greatest action game of this generation and I feel sorry for you. Second, if you pay money for Metroid: Other M, then I feel even more sorry for you.

It's all about taste, really. I'm an action game junkie, so Bayonetta rubs me in all the right ways. But I was expecting the same thing from Metroid and what I got was boring combat and annoying controls. If you're more about story and such, then I can somewhat understand choosing Metroid. Different strokes for different folks.

I'm going to wait on Majin cause I have a $15 game credit with Amazon but I don't have Prime so the order total would still be like $15-$17 and the game will probably drop to that price everywhere within a couple of months and I'm not too anxious to play it. It has great artistic direction, but it does seem an awful like Ico and with The Last Guardian coming out soon, I gotta make sure I get that.

Don't worry man, I've changed my mind drastically since that post. I watched a bunch of developer diaries and replayed the demo and decided to buy it. It should be here on Saturday! I don't care if people compare it to Ico/Shadow of the Colossus because Majin was in development before The Last Guardian was announced and ANY game in the genre of Ico is welcomed to me. It's like a breath of fresh air getting unique games like Majin when there's a flood of overrated games like COD.

Oh maybe, I can use that $10 credit I got by ordering GT5 from Amazon.
But wait, they didn't deliver it on release day as they said they would and UPS doesn't deliver on Thanksgiving, so that means I have to wait until tomorrow.
So much for playing GT5 during my vacation time.
Hey Amazon, you should look into the idea of selling winter release-day games from a place that isn't on the other side of Donner Pass from your customers.

If any of you haven't buy Dragon Age Ultimate Edition for the PC now it's time to do it, today it's on Amazon for just 35 $ (http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Age-Origins-Ultimate-Pc/dp/B0045ZB66I/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1290716729&sr=8-3), a huge deal if you take in consideration that you'll buy DA: Origins + DAO: Awakening + 9 DLC with Amazon Prime included. I just picked my copy.

@jmr1986 I bought Dragon Age earlier this morning, along with Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. If Brotherhood is no more than $39.99 to match K-Mart, I'll pick that up too. That will give me seven games I have bought in the last few months that I haven't had a chance to start yet.
I hate Amazon. Well, at least my wallet does. :-)

The only way I justified getting Reach on release was Amazon's $20 credit promo, which is a brilliant way for a company to answer this problem. Even still, unless Brotherhood is on sale for sub-$40, I'm waiting until the new year to pick it up. I mean even a game like Fable III is already hitting the $30 mark and that came out a month ago.

I already have my alarm set for fifteen minutes before the sale starts specifically for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. I may get Majin now for the hell of it - heard it was alright, and for that price it's all I need.

Aw man, Creed was only $10 off. Amazon can do way better than that. I'll wait.
Anyone wanting to play Majin should pick it up though.

I picked up Majin. I played the demo and I think it is worth $23.
Just saw the "deal" on Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. $50 is not my kind of deal. If it was $40 or less, I might have jumped in.

Ordered AC Brotherhood for the 360 at 6:15 for $50, checked back at 9:30 and it was $40. Took me an hour on the phone with Amazon's support, but I was able to get it to the $40 price. If only I could have CANCELED the order and re-added it, there would have been no problem. But I could no cancel it, because it was on the 'shipping soon' status. My friend had the same problem, but was able to fix it faster.

With Assassin's Creed Brotherhood at $40 and $20 credit still in my account, I got the game for just a total of $19.99.
And the game hasn't even been out for two weeks yet. Sometime it really pays to wait.
