Romino Games has hinted at a PC release of its sidescrolling strategy title (man, it still feels weird to type that combination of genres) Swords and Soldiers since it first launched on WiiWare last June. Apparently, it firmed up the game's PC release plans over the weekend -- Steam is currently listing the game's launch date as this coming Wednesday, December 1.
No pricing information was included on the game's info page, though we imagine it will resemble the game's $10 price point on Wii. Unless, of course, the PC port is infused with an additional helping of MoreFun -- we wouldn't mind paying a small surcharge for an extra shot of that vitally important attribute.

How was this?

@Shadowbender
Got it for PSN;
AMAZING, the online is incredibly funny and challenging, plus amazingly implemented, since you don't have to wait till you find an opponent, matchmaking is done "in background" so you can continue playing the campaign or any other single player component of the game, and the campaign and challenges will keep you busy for time.
Get it.

This was actually the first game I bought on Wiiware (along with Nyxquest and Lost Winds), awesome game and I'm glad they are porting to other platforms for others to enjoy!

I have to admit, I didn't like this game very much, which is just personal taste obviously. However, I must say, their 3D options are absolutely awesome and a little hilarious. I mean, there's like six or so different "types" of 3D to choose from. I had some cheap 80's 3D glasses lying around, and there was a setting for that. It was a cool surprise for me. Good job devs!

I believe this was my first WiiWare purchase and I was highly satisfied. A very well put together game. The visuals are nice and crisp, audio is well done and the gameplay is chaotic and exciting all at the same time.
I have since purchased NyxQuest, Bit Trip Beat and Eduardo the Samurai Toaster. NyxQuest is fantastic and Bit Trip is mellow yet hard.
I'd say pick up Swords on Steam and then get NyxQuest on WiiWare. Great games!
