Rrreeeeaaaalllly shouldn't be spending money on games right now... But Metro 2033 for $10 is pretty nice.

after spending all that money on Christmas tree stuff, I'm reminded that the holidays are way too expensive for even good deals. :(

That's alright, I ended up getting Metal Gear Solid 4 and Silent Hill: Homecoming for cheap on Black Friday. Also the first Assassin's Creed for $3, disc only. I intend on playing enough of that game to use it as an interest gauge for AC2 and Brotherhood, which I've heard are MUCH better than the first one.

Metro for $10? Monkey Island 2 for $2.50!?

Dammit Valve, why must you tempt me so!?

I would recommend KOTOR and Metro 2033 to anyone who hasn't played them yet.

Bummer, was really hoping one of their Black Friday deal-a-thon would have included Dead Rising 2 or Fallout New Vegas. Too bad...but Dirt 2 for $5 is tempting....even though I JUST got NFS for $35 on Black Friday, and Burnout Ultimate Box on Steam's Saturday deal for $14...so much racing so little time.

I'm really torn about KOTOR and Metro. Metro got ok reviews but it still looks solid, like in the same vein as Half Life. KOTOR has always had a good reputation, but I've already spent a lot of money recently and I know i'm picking up New Vegas for Christmas

@WhiteShield

i think metro 2033 is an awesome game, but some of the complaints you hear about the gun physics are justified. they are a bit off at times. if anything, i think metro is comparable to stalker.

It's really nothing like Stalker at all other than the setting and even that's a stretch. Stalker is an open world shooter, Metro is a corridor shooter they are hardly comparable.

On the plus side they are both excellent games.

Just spent loads of money on games for myself + others over the weekend...shouldn't be getting any more. But Metro 2033 and MI2 are so tempting. :(

Valve, why do you hate my wallet so much?

Thank God I already have everything of note here.

i felt justified in spending $50 on kotor when it was new, but $2.50 is a steal. one of the best games i've ever played, but probably because i grew up on the original trilogy and loved them so, so much :)

I was thinking 360 for 2033 but then I remembered all the bugs in stalker (i love that game). Steam it is.

$2.50 for KOTOR is nice as long as it doesn't crash randomly like the original PC version does. There was a bug in the Sith academy where if you killed one of the monsters in the training temple, when they explode in gas, the game would crash -_- Not sure if it was Nvidia related, or Windows 7.

$10 for Metro 2033 is still too much. Boring AI, and gameplay, but a super beautiful atmosphere/presentation. Shame it turned out to be so generic.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for $2.50?

Awesome.

Now I just need S.T.A.L.K.E.R.Clear Sky and Killing Floor to go about 50% cheaper.

@Faenix

Avoid Clear Sky like the plauge. Im a massive Stalker fan and Clear Sky is just horrible. Actual gameplay-wise Call of Pripyat is the best of the trilogy. For world and story the original Stalker (Shadows of Chernobyl) is the best. In my opinion you should own both. Avoid Clear sky though.

I've already got all the games I'm interested in from today's deal. :(

Though I may pick up AVP because it's cheap, even if I didn't like it when I rented it on the 360.

Oh come on, I JUST vowed that I'll stop buying games on really great deals, and then Dirt 2 goes down to 5 bucks? All of these small purchases are going to equal a lot of money pretty soon...

I feel like fat guy in that one Monty Python sketch. I'm full (broke), but John Cleese (steam) is trying to feed (sell) me just one more mint (game). He says it's just a little mint (game), but he's a filthy liar.

Over the last few days I have got nearly two dozen games for less than the cost of a single new game. And every game rates between an amusing time waster to a AAA blockbuster. Steam is my new best friend.

<3 Steam
