Im guessing they chose beta testers in this fashion to avoid early bad reviews. Only typical fanboys are likely to go to the trouble of making and uploading a video and are less likely to bash the game.

@Tedbell Bad reviews? Its a free game, do they even review free games? Giving us a watered down version of BF2 and BFBC2 in a FREE package is a 5 outta 5 game imo. Can I haz my beta key now plz!

Hey, it's like its 2005 again!

But I'm not complaining, Battlefield 2 was infinitively better than the watered down Bad Company games they've made since, so it can't be that bad.

@Invigilator I have to say I liked Special Forces for BF2 even more than vanilla BF2. The Zip line & Grapple hook were amazing fun. No place is safe from me and my knife, mahahahah.

Special forces was awesome, it was even better than normal BF2. Made here in Canada as well.

So of course DICE did the only logical thing and shut down the studio that made Special Forces, before going to make the consolized Haloized Bad Company on consoles, where it takes 20 bullets from an assault rifle to kill someone.

And then, they realized that Halo's useless weapons wasn't popular in online anymore, so they ripped off COD4 with Bad Company 2.
