Bomberman Live: Battlefest blows up XBLA on December 8

Next Wednesday, December 8, Hudson will launch Bomberman Live: Battlefest on Xbox Live Arcade. It follows the original Bomberman Live, which has dished out more than 500,000 copies since launching in 2007, and sports multiplayer for up to eight players, four new game modes and five new power-ups.

Bomberman LIVE: Battlefest is coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade next week on December 8!

The sequel to the critically acclaimed and highly successful downloadable title Bomberman LIVE, which has sold more than 500,000 copies, Bomberman LIVE: Battlefest will feature the same frantic action with 8-person online multiplayer that the series is known for, as well as a wealth of all-new features that will make blowing things up more fun than ever before. Players will also be able to customize their own Bomberman by choosing from a plethora of new costumes, as they mix and match pieces of Napoleon Bombaparte, Chef Bombardee, Sir Bombalot and more. With five new power-ups like the cluster bomb, rocket bomb and laser bomb, and four new modes like VIP, Bankroll, Capture the Flag and Capture the Crown, Bomberman LIVE: Battlefest is sure to be a fiery addition to gaming libraries everywhere!

Coincidentally, Bomberman: Act Zero is still my most despised party game of all time :)

So is this like a Add-on to the original XBLA game? No price yet either?

I hate to say this, but as long as this is going to be a sequel and not a DLC i'm out, even though Bomberman stil IS the best game on earth. Just don't like paying AGAIN for some more powerups and maps...

I've had this game since 2007 and all these years later there are still more than a few lobbies of people playing this game.

I've been waiting for this for a long time. Thanks for the news.

I'll cross my fingers that they change the remote det and kick power ups back to instant actions. The pause killed this game for me. I even bought the PSN version in hopes that it was changed.

Feeling spoiled. Trials HD DLC this week, new Bomberman next week.

Sweet! I didn't even know they were working on a sequel.

Out of the some 40ish arcade titles I own Bomberman Live is easily the one I've sunk the most hours into and overall enjoyed the most.

It kind of sucks that the online community for it died and when you did find someone the lag would be absolutely horrible because it would be someone in Japan or France, lol.

And yet it still won't be as awesome as Saturn Bomberman.

Love how reluctant they are to announce a price.
I heard 800, but there's no proof per se, and I'd be hard-pressed to pay 800 for a glorified expansion pack.

Way to storm the Wii's fourth birthday (in the UK), Capcom! I was just about to get Bomberman Live too, so this shall take it's place on my shopping list ^_^

Being reluctant about buying Bomberman Live for years finally paid off!

Oh yeah, one more thing: Either it will cost 1200MSP or they're dropping to original to 400MSP... It wouldn't make much sense have both available at the Marketplace for 800MSP... I hardly doubt Hudson will opt for the choice that is more advantageous to us gamers though...
