You can even buy this one and return it as the original to the first store! Pretty victimless, really.

You can ask Amazon to give you the discount since you bought the game yesterday. I think there is a 24 hour window on situations like these.

"Suit up in this sci-fi shooter" - Sadly this could be about a 100 different games.

I'm going to guess Vanquish or Lost Planet 2.
Random guess based on the "suit up" comment.

ever since amazon.com started shipping to canada, my wallet has been taking a beating thanks to these Black Friday deals!

amazon.ca said that they had some BF deals as well, but they must've been using a very loose definition of the word "deal" since the prices seemed to be only a few dollars off from their regular prices.

@spikeylee Your wallet will be having additional beatings once the Canadian Customs office has a word with it.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is reviewed very, very poorly.

I had thought the game was similar to Burnout Paradise in quality, and thus was excellent. And I wrong? The price seems great.

Every other place reviewed it quite well, including Joystiq. I never trust Amazon reviews, unless I read through them.
Especially PC ones, since everyone and their mom bitches about Steam being the anti-christ on there.

The game has many simililarities to Burnout but it's a true need for speed game. The only thing I don't like about it is the time trials and quick responses in career mode but thats just my opinion. As far as quality and value go, it's an arcade racer that stands up with the greats. The multiplayer is an amazing experience by the way.

@sicsided

Thanks for the replies, you two.

For whatever reason, I trust these two strangers more than the many strangers on Amazon.

I have to buy this game. GT5 is amazing and I will probably not put another disc in my PS3 for a couple of weeks, but I want another arcade racer too.

"Especially PC ones, since everyone and their mom bitches about Steam being the anti-christ on there. "

LOL. I'm sorry, but I can't say I blame them. It would be nice if they would just review the game itself and just refer people to the general Steam issues, though.

Can anyone compare the X11's to a true surround sound headset, like the x41's or Tritton AX Pros? I'm really curious about the Dolbysurround sound sets with multiple speakers in each ear, but they are just sooooo expensive.

After seeing Hot Pursuit going for $35 almost everywhere for a few days I finally picked it up. I have the demo saved on my ps3 and I tried to play it for the first time a couple of days ago and got a message saying that the demo had expired, that made me feel uneasy about the game and had decided not to pick it up, but since this is probably the last time I would see this deal in a while I caved in, hopefully it will turn out well for me.

That happened to me too. I wanted to play the demo and was denied, even though I went to the trouble of downloading it. I don't get to play my PS3 every week, and it was douchey in the extreme to disable the demo like that.

It really makes you wonder if the game is awful, but Burnout was awesome (And had a great demo, too). I don't insist on a demo for every game, but don't put one out and then shut it down.

@Dustin F Exactly, I was wondering how many other people went through the same thing.

I was about to really skip this game out of principle. It might sound stupid, but it is fishy to take a demo out like that. I think I read somewhere that EA was bragging about how many people downloaded the demo, so something is not right. I figured that for the price I couldn't go wrong and people seem to like it though, so this might be nothing and you and I might end up enjoying a good game for a bargain price.

99% of the time something in gaming annoys me, either Activision or EA is involved.

They are very successful, but I wish they didn't play games with every damn little thing. In the short term, it might be really good for their quartlery report, but over the years it ruins their brands.

Other brands like Konami, Polyphony, Bungee, even Ubisoft etc have really built reputations for trying to make games they believe in. EA should seriously start thinking long term about the feelings people get when they chose which game they are going to buy.
