Who would buy the screensaver? It only takes 1 person to upload it on the Internet to ruin it.

@JIAGPOS

Why wait for that when you can just hit up Google Images for some DQIX artwork, save it, then use your OS's built-in slideshow screensaver to run them?

I don't even think they read the "Please tell us how we can improve" part in those surveys.

If they did, there'd be more NES games in there.... :P
I'm pretty sure no one put in "Dude, you should totally have washcloths as a reward, they're totally rad!". Yeah, they're washcloths, not towels...

@Lerkero

I used to have a Nintendo Power Magazine subscription in the 90s. I got the SNES game "Illusion of Gaia" which was actually pretty good and later on a gold N64 controller both for free. That was just for ordering magazines for a small price per year.

Now, we buy $50 games and do a bunch of surveys and we get paper or plastic throw away items or small digital downloads. Nintendo needs to step up ... especially after Microsoft's announcement.

I dunno ...maybe Nintendo is aiming at 8 year olds for their prizes, but I'm looking straight into the Gift Horse's mouth and all I see are cavities.

Excuse everybody, we have an announcement. Please do not take the Bowser acid. Everybody, the Bowser acid is not good. Thank you.

@edgore and finally, the inspiration for mario truly makes sense.

A plumber who takes giant red and white mushrooms to grow in size goes on several world spanning adventures with his pet dinosaur and his ambiguously gay brother.

I find this an amusing contrast to the article posted immediately before it.

I've been worried that once I get the 800 points to get G&W2, they would release something really, really cool that I would have to pick up instead of the game. So far, they've released tote bags, towels, and pins. Wow.
