@Marco le Polo Man Valve ripped me off, I paid $2.49 for this just the other week:) I still rather give Valve my money over MS any day of the week not to mention I really love how Steam works.

@sigma8 True, this is one of the games that I loved back then and still love playing to this day. People may hate on Invisible War, but I still like playing it since anything thats "cyberpunk" rocks. Seriously Cyberpunk and Steampunk should be used more often since they both have rarely been touch and would be a breath of fresh air.

I wonder what this game looks like on a 24" monitor. I first played this game on a 15" CRT at 800x600 resolution (maybe 640x480), I cant imagine how stretched the textures are at 1920x1200

wow. i need to get my wife's imac booted up into windows stat! would love to replay this gem.
it's sad that itd be easier to do the above than try to get my old mac copy (that i still have) running. only works in classic and intel macs dont run classic. i could maybe try to get it working on my g5, but that has issues...

Just spent 3200 points on Rock Band DLC last night and have only 17 MSP left.
Surely could use another 10MSP game, I don't care what it is.

@InfinitiProject or better yet, some kind of MSP Donation program would be nice to clear the rest of these points.

Is there an option to put it into 3rd person, or is it solely a 1st person game?

I'm thinking of buying this, but do you need to be connected online to play it? My PC isn't always connected to the internet. :(

Nope.
And for everyone else, if you've never played this game and don't buy it today...well I'm gonna kill you.

Unless I keep it minimized, the Games For Windows client always ends up crashing. Some kind of memory leak or something. Memory consumption keeps rising until it just eventually crashes. But if I minimize it, memory usage goes back to normal immediately. Anyone else have the same problem?

@Flapjackal What OS are you using? I've never encountered this on Win 7.

@Flapjackal Windows XP? ew. I think that's part of your problem right there, XP has terrible memory handling.

@sigma8 That may be, but I have less than 2 GB of RAM. Any downloaded games run fine, it's just the client that causes problems. Never had this problem before with any other program.

Windows XP requires a hotfix update that the GFWM Client needs to validate the files after downloading them. It works fine without the hotfix for smaller files, but downloading full games will run into issues like the one you described above. Check out this page for more information / tips. You can find a link to download the hotfix relative to your OS's language at the bottom of the page as well:

@Wedge MSFT I'd actually applied the hotfix already but went ahead and did it again, no change. The problem is not with downloading games. Simply having the client open and running, not doing anything, will cause memory usage to go up until it bogs everything down. If I minimize it, usage drops down to around 10 MB. When I restore it, memory usage climbs steadily. 20MB, 30MB, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, minimize, back to ~10MB. If I don't minimize, it'll eventually crash or just slow down my system to a crawl. I had no such problems with the old client, prior to the marketplace relaunch.

Thanks for the additional info, try installing the .NET 4.0. The client required .NET 3.5 but some users have reported that installing 4.0 has solved some of their problems around crashes.
