New Era Cap releases Epic Mickey, Tron hats

New Era Cap, which makes the official Major League Baseball hats, has released its first hat design based on a video game: a fitted cap featuring Epic Mickey imagery. The $37 hat came out on November 30 alongside the Wii game, and is available from the company's website or its Flagship stores.

It's a nice design, but a Disney hat with no plastic ears on either side seems ... wrong, somehow. It disrupts the natural order of the universe. Maybe you could staple some ears onto it yourself if you get one of these -- otherwise, you know, it would be weird.

The company also has a line of sort-of game-inspired hats, based on Tron Legacy.

I call these hats "Douche Hats" because the only people I see wearing them are douches who don't take off that ugly ass gold sticker.

I'm either way about the sticker, I don't mind it being there but i'm against what it represents.

i don't even know what it "represents" but i know that i agree with the original poster when he says that people that wear these hats are total douches. and whatever happened to folded bills for chrissakes?

The reason people leave the sticker on is to show that the hat is a legitimate New Era and not some bootleg hat. If you ever lived in NYC, you would understand.

@Liquidfingers Meh, whatever, preconceived notions are expected on the internet. I'm assuming you live in the U.S., well over in the U.K. they're very popular and you don't have to be a douche to wear one.

Those hats are hideous. Why anyone would want to wear one out in public is beyond me. Though, if someone is reppin' Epic Mickey on their hat, THAT's the guy you want to be afraid of. He can likely kick someone's ass from all that practice defending his own.

They kind of look like part of a halloween costume the me. idk just seems like way too much for a hat. Now if they had one that was like the epic mickey logo in just glossy black or white i would totally buy that but the design just seems ugly as is.
