Remember those Gamer Gloves that kept your hands from blistering because you played too long? Remember how successful THAT was? And then this comes along, which is just...bluh, words can't describe how ugly this thing is. Good luck getting enough of these out the door to break even.

@Asok

I think the problem was that people's hands were blistering because of so much video games. Not the product.

I play games in weird as hell positions. Controller over my head with arms leaned on my forehead while lying down? Got that.

So it's uh...supposed to rest the uh...controller in your lap? Make it more comfortable to play over long periods? Yeah?

No, seriously, what's the purpose of this goddamn device? As a younger gamer I don't find my hands raw after a gaming session on PS3 or 360, they're fairly ergonomic for me. I can see arthritis sufferers having some troubles, but...seriously? $20 for something that looks like those foam things at the pool for learning how to swim?

I want to see week one sales figures please. I need to know if there is a demand for this somewhere. As a business student I've got a BURNING DESIRE for the numbers on this!

A condition from gripping the controller so tightly and long, your hands are cramped into that position.

VERY noticeable from the Dreamcast controller. I had times after playing Crazy Taxi, or Re-Volt, or Quake 3 and many other games where my hands took several minutes to go back into normal position without feeling stiff.

This accessory is just bullshit. We had a controller shaped like that before, the Jaguar's. It wasn't popular.

Why do these people keep recycling shit? Do they go thru a catalogue of failed console accessories, and say "Gee, this failed 20 years ago, it's gotta work now!"

Honestly, I think the Playstation controllers are too small. I always find my bottom fingers (pinkie and ring) starting to go numb I play for more than 15 minutes. But I would prefer that over ever getting one of those.

Buy an Xbox then. Problem solved.

I find the PS3 controllers (same design from the PS1) ergonomically fine for prolonged use.

I dont go numb. I think you have a circulation problem. See a doctor.

I have my dual shock 3 crammed into a formally broken original xbox controller. You know the giant duke one. I love it, beats the hell out of the Nyko Raven and Shadow 6.

I have big hands and I'd love to just have a bigger "Duke"-style controller. The current 360 controller is absolutely perfect imo-- for my wife. How 'bout a controller-extension that just makes the thing 50% larger but the same shape and everything?

For comfort's sake, imagine my comment as being read by Mr. New Vegas, aka Wayne Newton. Failing that, Bill Cosby.
Comparing this snug little object to a baseball glove has a few little kinks. You see, folks, a baseball glove is designed to protect your hand and make catching the ball easier, so's you don't break your fingers whenever you try to catch a speeding ball. This cushy little wonder is only useful if you hold the controller on your lap, not in all those other kooky positions I've seen people play in.
