I would be kind of dissapointed if those are new characters for AE. Just another variation of two existing characters that are way over used. Profound Sadness.

I agree. I play Super Street Fighter IV regularly and was hoping that in the eight months since that game came out, they would've been able to add more than a measly two new characters (who are practically color swaps of one another) and add glowy eyes to two more characters.

I just came...

Seriously though I highly doubt they'll be playable. Will be nice as bosses though.

Am I the only one who feels Capcom shot themselves in the foot by announcing paid DLC characters? People were already upset about SSF4 coming out too soon after vanilla and not releasing the new characters as DLC. Now Capcom is showing they really could've done that all this time and is just saying "Haha, we totally jacked you guys and your wallets, now give us more."

@bamb0ostick

they're one of the only Japanese devs that understands the possibilities laid by current gen consoles for extra content and such, but there's a difference between extra content and getting greedy. I'm still looking at my copy of SF4 wondering wth happened.

SSFIV is where I draw the line. I still don't have it because I'm waiting for Super Street Fighter IV Turbo EX Plus.

Uh, are you talking about MvC? Because nothing's been announced for this game.

@Acosta02 I would be surprised if they didn't. If they would charge $20 for a couple of kilobytes of costumes then I think they will charge this for sure. I know for Blaz Blue charges for new characters. If you don't pay for them you'll just fight against them online only in that game. I would be really surprised if Capcom will give (possibly) four brand new characters for free, plus the tweaks and balances. If they did that, why not just give us the SSF4 characters for free before?

YES! This game needed more shoto characters! I was definitely not satisfied playing with just regular Ryu, regular Akuma, Ken, Dan, Sagat, Sakura, and Seth!

@WiNGSPANTT from TopTierTacticsco
I have officially removed Sakura from my list of people I consider shoto! She has practically non of the perks and having seen skilled players use her...Plays almost nothing like them. Not to mention the difference in damage priority and her combo driven nature.

Still, I respect anyone who doesn't see it that way all the same.

WiNG you forgot Gouken who taught Ryu/Ken the shoto style which by the way labeling characters by the style they use would exclude Sagat from that list.

Although if we go by Kodes labeling then Dan isn't a shoto user either.

You know what, can't we just call them the "fireball characters" or "the ones with projectiles"?

Ryu and Ken are alternate versions of each others.

Akuma is an ultra powerful, evil version of the two.

Dan is an ultra weak, foolish version of the two.

Sakura is a feamle copycat who developed her skills into her own style, while still containing the same fundamentals.

Gouken is the master of the fighting style and the teacher of Ryu and Ken.

Do we really, really need more characters of this fighting style? Really?

Next they'll announce Sean is coming back too.

Gouken (in-game character wise) seems more of a foil to Gouki's IMO.

I agree of all other points and do approve of this post

This is stupid. First they give us costumes to pay for, which I refuse to get. Now they want to sell us Evil Ryu and Shin Akuma? Evil versions of characters we already have!!! And I don't want anyone to be smart with me and say "oh, their moves will be altered so that it's blah da blah blah da blah", we already have enough shotoclones and I'm not going to pay for more. Capcom doesn't get it. DLC is supposed to get people to COME BACK to the game so they wont trade it to gamestop, DLC is not supposed to make us WANT to trade our game in.

@mrmojoz You fail at trying to be a smartass, I already said I'm not paying for it....
In fact, my point of Capcom not understand what DLC is meant for, just completely flew over your head. Kinda like how it flies over Capcom's head as well.

The DLC train wreck won't stop until we have to start paying for special moves.

Mid-Air Shoryukens: $5:00
Blazing Uppercuts: $6:50

Super Taunts: $1:00 a piece.

I should be a Capcom executive.

If they have seperate movesets, I guess we are kind of forced to pay for it just to be at equals with other people who buy it.

This is stupid. It's the reason the community for BF Heroes were enraged.

Just one character shy of my mains from my arcade rat days... where's muh Karin!?

Still, 3 outta 4 ain't bad... Akuma, Adon and now Evil Ryu, if he's playable. And, I may give Yang/Yun a try, since I never really got into 3rd Strike.

I just hope the DLC is reasonably priced.

I had hoped they would release some of this stuff for the people that bought the original SFIV. Now its making me feel like Two Worlds was a better buy and thats saying a lot...oh well...just another thing i will ignore i guess...moving along...back to brotherhood.
