Its alright but im getting sick of this now. Not the subject, but the article. It seems every PS3 related post has some negetive aftertaste with Joystiq. As an example. On the GT patch article there was a bit that said
"The "Light" damage option means parts of your car can be damaged, but its health regenerates (no, we're not joking). It's not clear whether the update also adds cover for your cars to hide behind while said health regenerates."
Seriously? Thats perfectly fine, theres nothing wrong with health regenerating when its set on LIGHT mode. It just seems on 90% of all PS3 eclusive articles there is a bitter aftertaste by the joystiq writers. What is it? Jelousy?

Relax guys, there really is no reason to get so but hurt over comments made about a piece of plastic and metal that you can play video games on.

That quote seems more to be poking fun at the trend of regenerating health (particularly in shooting games) than a jab at Sony or the PS3. I think you're just picking a fight for no good reason.
Also, all of the game in this "collection" are blatant knockoffs, which seems to be exactly what the game's going for. It's not a negative thing Joystiq's implying, so much as stating fact.

If they did it for any reason, I can't fathom how it could ever be "jealousy". Why in the world would they have any reason to be jealous if in their position, when they have all consoles and have games delivered to them to play and review? Jealous of what? :/ I hate when people spout jealousy as any reaoning for fanboyism anyway...Comes off so badly to me.

calm down dude. i'm not exactly the biggest fan of the ps3 myself, but honestly i don't see why or how joystiq is really ever ragging on the system in general. as for the gt5 review, well, if you have a problem with it maybe you should take it up with all the other guys who didn't think it was all it should have been, which is pretty much every reviewer out there except for "playstation lifestyle", which sounds pretty unhealthy. it doesn't exactly have the best average out there: http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/gran-turismo-5
after having played the crap out of dead nation for the past few days, i thought it was pretty generous that they gave a five star review for the game, but hey i guess they're just super fanboys like that right? just chill out dude...shouldn't change the enjoyment you personally get out of the system whatsoever.

@Billlop Case in point: the old joke that "oh I have a bunch of updates when I turn on my PS3" is used in every blog and site (sans IGN's Podcast Beyond and Giant Bomb, as well as a small few).
I think it's a joke, but hey, that's what this generation of game journalism is now; nothing but bias.
One thing that gets me is how the always complain about updates. Playstation Plus, does just that. It pushes the updates to your system without ever having to do it manually. But have the ever mentioned the benefit? Nope. It's something I've gotten used to this gen. But hey, I love games.

I have been getting more and more minis this day. Small games are more suited for travel games. I don't know why the PSP2 has to have crazy graphics because the DS proved you just need some small bit of game play to keep people happy. Epics like God of War are great on the PSP when I am stuck in some hotel for long periods but most of the time I have like 15 minutes or so and minis are great for that.

@FriedConsole Then it's a good thing the PSP offers both types of experiences- I'm really glad developers made "console-lite" experiences for this system...otherwise, I'd play it as often as my DS (which is to say, "not that often").
Also, the 3DS seems to be heading toward "deeper" game experiences (MGS3D, the N64 remakes, the Resident Evil games, possibly Kid Icarus), so it looks like it's going to try to do what the PSP already does (albeit, with Ninty characters/stories, and with better graphics than the PSP).
And, as far as the 15 minute sessions go- as long as they design the portable games with that in mind (e.g., Peace Walker's missions, instead of MGS1's backtracking expeditions), then again, everyone should be happy. I think? I mean, I know I am.

Why not make a community driven one... Griffin loves PS... I think... So maybe invite him every once in a while, I think mainly they dont make it because of the short time they have even when they make the joystiq podcast

And the same thing can be seen on other gaming websites as well. Gamespot, gametrailers, kotaku, the escapist (to a lesser extent)... it's not some joystiq oddity. It's been this way this entire generation. The bias that is. It's obvious an apparent.
It's not something that's like 'oh look lower scores qq'. It's the word choices and tones created in reviews. The language is specific and it's not something that people are just 'making up'. It's not fanboyism either.
It's the difference between 'we have to do this' and 'we want to do this'. That's the attitude.
