Dead Rising Mobile rises, but not on iPad
16
Capcom is offering its newly-launched Dead Rising Mobile, a portable adaptation of the original Dead Rising, at a special introductory price of $4.99. Herein lies the rub, though: it's only compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and third-generation or newer iPod Touch right now. The first update will include iPad support, but Capcom's being mum on when that'll be available.

I can't see any of the comments already posted, so I can pretty much guarantee that somebody already said this.

It's ironic that the main shot for this article is a picture of a dude wielding a melee weapon against another sorta-dude (zombie, in this case). Ironic, because yesterday, another game, Infinity Blade, was launched....which also features dudes wielding stuff against dudes.
And it looks approximitely Infinity better than these shots. Try harder, Capcom!

@edtheshed
Well, like you said, you haven't played it. When I downloaded it Wednesday night at around midnight, I got sucked into it and played it until like 4am. In addition to being pretty fun right out of the gate, it doesn't use a fake-analog-stick control scheme. I hate those things, they never feel good. IB uses a custom control scheme that was designed for Touch and is limited, but works far better. Better to limit yourself to good than to add suck.

The iPad runs on the same hardware as the iPhone. Must want to up the resolution slightly so it doesn't look uglier.
