Force Unleashed 2 character pack, Endor DLC out today
23
As if to apologize for the poor reception of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, the newly released character pack and Endor DLC are a mere 80 Microsoft points ($1) apiece on Xbox Live. Similar DLC packs for the original Force Unleashed were 800 MSP ($10) each. And no, the lower price is not a mistake according to Major Nelson. The DLC should be available on PSN when the store updates later today.
The character pack will allow you to play as Luke Skywalker clad in Dagobah Training Gear, Obi-Wan Kenobi in Clone Wars Battle Armor, Darth Malak (from Knights of the Old Republic), Han Solo, Lando Calrissian and Admiral "It's a trap!" Ackbar. It also includes new costumes for Starkiller.
The Endor pack delves into an alternate timeline, where Starkiller fries Ewoks as the rebellion launches its final attack on a -- GASP! -- fully armed and operational battle station. Let's face it, the only thing more cathartic than annihilating Ewoks would be some "Torture Jar-Jar" DLC.

@SirBucket I'd personally rather pay for a $1 DLC WITH achievements rather than get a free, half-assed DLC without achievements.

So you're going to wait a year so that you don't have to buy a $1 DLC pack?

Character packs from the first should be forwards-compatible. The Darth Sion model from TFU1 one is so amazing.

While the combat was repetitive and the game was somewhat short, I still had a great time playing through it and will definitely be grabbing the DLC.

Still haven't unpacked this from its cellophane yet. Better get to it before LBP 2 hits or it'll never get played.

Why did it take them this long to realise that the best part of the first game was slaughtering wookies as Vader? TFU2 should have been just throwing ewoks through tree's for the entire game.

The only thing worse than killing ewoks is killing young padawans.

That is a price i can get behind. I don't own the game yet but I will buy the DLC to support that price.

Quick review: Yes, one dollar is epic. But the first level feels extremely stale until the okay boss fight. Second level is a little better, but the boss fight is kinda lame. Same with the cutscenes. The graphics are shabby compared to the main game, too. But one dollar? I can spare it. Hopefully the obvious cliffhanger they left for the next DLC is either one dollar or higher quality.
