Bulletstorm 'Epic Edition' includes Gears of War 3 beta early access

Not sure how you feel about the we-hope-it's-satire taste level in Epic's Bulletstorm? Allow us to help you make peace with the shooter: Buying the newly-announced "Epic Edition" for Xbox 360 will grant you early access to a Gears of War 3 beta. Yum yum beta juice. The beta is scheduled to begin sometime this year. Bulletstorm is still on for February 22.

The limited-run, 360-exclusive Epic Edition will retail for the same $60 price as the standard edition and includes in-game extras in addition to that all-important beta access -- like 25,000 bonus experience points, "visual upgrades" for your leash, new boots and armor, and the "Peace Maker Carbine."

If i can get a DEMO or beta for this game I will buy it. It looks like it can go either way as epic or shit.

The only thing I like about this game is the ability to kick anyone in the chest and send them airborne. Other than that it just seems like a Unreal sequel with less armor and a single-player...

Well I'm a PSN+ member I want my beta :). Seriously though I am still on the fence when it comes to Bulletstorm, but every little bit of video is slowly swaying me over to buy it.

@shopping bags Gee feeling good for paying to play online isn't something to feel good about. I may have paid for plus, but it pretty much paid it self off by getting Sam and Max($35 value) as my free game this month, and that's just one month. May I ask what free things you've received on Live?

Dude I agree with your position on XBL vs PSN but on the same token I look @ like this, I have had XBL for 3+ years and PSN for going on two next year in the summer. My multiplayer base is huskier on 360 than it can ever get on PSN because I only bought the psn to play certain exclusives with family who refuses to buy a 360 yadig. Games like Mortal Kombat and MVC3 are a dual system purchase, no question but XBL has its benefits in my view. Shit if they get red dead for Digital Download that'll be wassup

EA has been doing this lately as part of "Project Ten Dollars." They include extras with new copies of games, it's just that they don't always call them 'limited editions.' For example, BFBC2 did the same thing, but ME2 just had the pack-ins + different higher priced editions.

now lets think about what you just said....if you buy a new movie for roughly $20 and it lasts approximately 2 hours, by your logic, shouldn't you feel ripped off? these days, with $60 you usually get at least 8 hours of campaign and a multiplayer mode that can last you many more hours than that. maybe you should just quit buying games if you always feel like they're not worth it? it's better than the alternative (pirating games) which is just plain disrespectful to the developers...all i ever see you do is post hate mr. kevorkian, and it's kind of annoying.

Sweet, this game just moved to the top of my list.

lol no surprise they add in beta to get sales just like they did with crackdown....but i'm glade they are having a beta so they will be no excuse for gears of war multi-player
