As part of Xbox LIve's "Countdown to 2011," today's deal is the excellent downloadable title Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light at 50 percent off, which means the co-op adventure can be yours for 600 Microsoft Points (that's $7.50). That's quite inexpensive for some time with Lady Croft. We'd say "cheap," but she ain't cheap.
Also available today is the free Kane & Lynch character pack for Guardian of LIght. Don't ask questions, just let the weird wash over you.
Finally, there's a dose of randomness with a pet monkey for your Avatar, half off for 120 MSP ($1.50). "He's not horrible. He's lovely. He's a lovely little monkey."

@Wizardsofwaverly I played the game, the price pretty much speaks for itself. Shame of it is, this would have been an awesome game, had it actually had a real plot, some form of character development, some variety to game play . . . and the enemy AI was not as dumb as a log.
Multiplayer was sweet though. But with the matches limited to only a few short minutes, multiplayer matches ended just when they started getting good.
I think the real crime though, is the lack of any character development - there was a lot more character development in the first game. Kane and Lynch have to be two of the most interesting character profiles to show up in a video game in a good while. Just breaking down the psychological profile on these two guys, there is just so much potentially interesting stuff there. But Eidos has no clue what to do with any of it. So in Dog Days, the boys pretty much come off as one dimensional, and at times even border on buffoons. Which is sad, as I was really looking forward to a gritty crime drama with lots of action, that managed to allow the depth of these two characters to really shine through and leave a lasting impression on the player - you know, do for games what Scarface did for cinema back in the early 1980s.
The only thing we got, was lots of action, most of it pretty much meaningless, absolutely no variety in game play, shoddy AI, and two of gaming's most interesting characters who did not grow one iota as they journeyed through what would have had to be the worst two days imaginable in anyone's life.

Really glad to see the K&L pack is free, was getting uneasy after they wanted 5 bucks for Kain and Raziel pack. This means that so far half of their DLC has been free (even if the first map pack was to make up for lack of online play), good on you Crystal Dynamics.

I think that is the perfect price for me to pick it up at.
I've never had any problems with the game, just with the whole fiasco surrounding its release.
Downloading now.

Picked this up this morning, was I knew it would be in this years holiday sale. Does anyone know if the 360 co-op patch was released yet?

I'm very happy about this deal. I finally got around into picking this up, and so far, I'm really enjoying the hell out of it. 50% off is a no brainier, especially for this game.

Would have loved Raziel and Kain, but 400 points is a bit steep for skins that look like they've been pulled straight out of Defiance. I guess Kane and Lynch are free because nobody wants them?

I've been waiting for GoL to go on sale, so I snatched this up this morning because I had fun playing the demo earlier this year.

Not really a fan of Kane and Lynch but their dialog is hilarious when faced with all the weird going on in Lara Croft: GoL.

Dam it, I told myself I would get this game at the first price drop but didn't go online yesterday, guess I will wait until the next round, perhaps a weekly sale or next years Christmas deal.
Must remain vigilant for the rest of the week.
