Plus was totally worth it. I've gotten 6 PSone games, several minis and a few other games like Wipeout.

Sure, they'll go away once I stop subscribing, but considering the value I doubt I'll stop.

@Softserve were they all good games that keep you entertained or is it just meh games? Honest question, I'm not making fun of Plus or anything

So far I think all of the PSN games have been great... The PS1 games on the other hand... Well, unless you have MAAAAAJOR nostalgia value for Syphon Filter... You aren't gonna be too excited. But with that being said, the last few months have been giving out some pretty good PS1 games.

yeah some games you MUST have nostalgia to be able to beat them again, makes you think what they were thinking when making the button layout. some games are flat out weird.

I had no idea Dead Nation had a platinum, and was co-op...I really want it, but still not convinced at it's $15 price.

Why are some Move retail disc games not including platinums, yet some PSN games are?

Its worth the 15 bucks....better than a ton of 60 dollar games out there.

@mywhitenoise It just depends on the size. Rock Band track packs with only 20 songs or so don't have Platinums, but WipEout HD, which could have easily sold as a $60 game with all the content it does, has one

@mywhitenoise Dead Nation is an amazing game, it has a ton of replay value and it's actually a pretty long game! I'd say a good 8 hours of gameplay unless you just blow through it. Plus it has the best graphics and sound design I've seen in a downloadable game, even better than a lot of full retail disc-based games. It's also very addicting. lol

Plus has been great, besides the free stuff I would have planned on getting anyways, it has allowed me to play some other things I may not have initially found interesting or didn't even know about, and have turned out to enjoy quite a bit....and the DCUO beta for + was just awesome xD

Plus has definitely been worth it for me.
It's especially valuable if you have a PSP and space for downloadable games.

I'm more in it for the discounted games than the "free" games, because the free games you lose ownership of when your membership expires.

I can kinda take or leave the "exclusive" demos. Getting a demo a week before everyone else is pretty meaningless to me when it usually takes me a few weeks to get around to trying a demo anyway.

But the discounts have been great. Although I have noticed some games will be discounted for Plus members, then a month or two later it has a permanent price drop to that price for everyone else. So that can be lame, but it usually doesn't happen.

Are any of the PSN games going to be discounted for boxing day? I keep checking Joystiq for a match but so far no dice. Would love to get the deal Xbox has on the Red Dead Redemption DLC.

"Games downloaded via Plus won't work after your subscription is canceled"

Wait, wait, what?? What if I buy a game that's been marked down for Plus members, does that mean the game is unplayable if my subscription runs out?

@343 Guilty Fart

Nope. Just the free games you download. Anything you pay for is yours.

Awesome list by the way, now i want to buy stuff! Speaking of which, does anyone now a way to get psn code online? Like something trustworthy. I don't live in the US and that VC II looks so tempting!

Exactly what "liquidsoap89" said. Joystiq should be clearer on that statement.

Every list should include Valkyria Chronicles for PS3 because it's awesome, and I don't care it's not on PSN.

I'm not really sure how Castle Crashers didn't make the cut for co-op. I guess the assumption is that everyone has it already.

I agree with most of those choices like Joe Danger(got it for $7 a few weeks back), X-men Arcade, Scott Pilgrim, Afterburner Climax. I am really wanting that Deadliest Warrior game for $5 now.

I was interested in getting Blue Toad Murder Files, but since Sam & Max went for free for PS Plus I'll hold on to my money and wait

I got Blue Toads now cause that $15 for all six episodes is only temporary sale. Sure this could be free for PS+ someday, but at the same time could never be. The first episode alone I paid $7 something back when was released, so I just couldn't let this opportunity pass.

Monkey Island is a decent choice for the Trophy Hunter section, but Sam & Max Season 3 or the newly-released Strongbad game serve the same function for the same price or less. Strongbad has some 73 trophies for $15.

Merry Christmas, Joystiq! As you usual, your wise advice swiftly separates this f00l from his money: VC2 was just too good a deal to pass up, and it's hotly-anticipated content like 'Valkyria Chronicles II' which adds value to the PSPgo I picked up on -another- Joystiq tip!

After picking it up countless times in GameStop and browsing it on PSN, but shying away from such a price (especially for such a DLC'd game), it is a pleasure to finally have this, and at 60% off the birck&mortar price! That's the *right* price for a pure download title. Many thanks, especially in a season renowned for draining the wallet. Frohe Weihnacten!

When did they ever say it was a good idea to get a GO? I'm pretty sure that they, like everyone else, see the Go as overpriced with more expensive games then the PSP-3000 and fewer functions. There is never a good reason to buy a GO.

@Sponge
Duh, I'm talking deals, not the monetery value of the enterprise. I got the Go when it was $150, on their original BestBuy tip, and it supplements my 1000 nicely. Convenient and legit versus ergonomic and library-friendly. It's also freed me from slobbering over the Xperia Play announcements, because otherwise, I'd have been all over that phone. It's not the beloved portable gaming device that the DS or my original PSP is, but for a gamer can find good use at such a great price. I'm especially loving these recent PSN deals and download-code packin options. It's also the exact same size as the iPhone and case, so it's a much better mobile accompaniment for me, too. $150 is cheaper than an 8GB iPod Touch, so I really feel like I got my money's worth. Joystiq, keep up the dealie love!
