Tekken Tag Tournament 2 trailer introduces new luchadora character

Who is this pink, masked fighter? We may not have a name, but this new Tekken Tag Tournament 2 trailer shows us her moves. We can't wait to have a kangaroo and luchadora fight against an angel and, um, Bob?

Nope. He's too big to be a luchador. Luchardor are high flyers. Traditionally anyway.

Lucha Libre doesn't mean you're a high-flyer. There are plenty of heavy-set guys who are Lucha. It just means you follow the Mexican style of wrestling and wear a mask. High-flying is typical in it, but not a must.

Plus, King has a lot of flying moves. Plancha dive, Moonsault, Hurricanrana, etc.

Correction: In WWE, luchadors are only high flyers. Take Alberto Del Rio (Dos Caras Jr.) for example.

Why, obviously it is Jun Kazama, back from the dead using the luchadora get-up as a disguise.

I'm not savvy on Tekken plot... What the hell is going on here, and will it be explained?

@Tappybot Tekken Tag is non-canon, so it doesn't directly continue off the plot of a previous game, but it has it own stand-alone stories. It's sort of like a Star Wars Infinities what-if off-shoot.

Even with this not being canon, tekkens plot went to shit. Tekken 6's plot seemed like it was written by 9 year olds

Seems like fighting franchises are having trouble coming up with unique characters... except BlazBlue, I guess. Pretty cool trailer though.

And of course King is a Luchador.

@hisownsidekick Especially considering Dead or Alive 4 did the EXACT SAME THING with Lisa. "Who is the masked luchador??" Kind of obvious when you put her half naked in a swimsuit with the DOAX games right before it.

@onan If she's called "La Libelula" "La Mosca" or any other name that implies insect flight, you all owe me!

@onan Exactly. "DOA did this," was the first thing I thought, seeing the article. At least this is a Tag game and not one of the main iterations. I'd feel bad for the Tekken faithful if the new characters of a main game were a Lisa clone and a fat American who may or may not be stolen from Street Fighter.

Tekken came out before DOA.

And since when is having a luchador in a game copyrighted?

Tekken 6 was totally off track from all Tekken games i played in my opinion .. tho i did plated the game..... the game series will never be the same and i shall pass on all Tekken games.
