I got no idea what's causing it, but I'm looking into it now. No idea how it happened since the file I uploaded to the server was named correctly and is, in fact, today's episode.

Hang tight!

OK, it should be fixed now. If you downloaded through iTunes or somewhere else, erase the file it gave you initially and redownload for the new ep. Sorry about that, folks!

Dave, you're my boy, but I totally disagree about Red Dead. Definitely think it's one of, if not the best game this year.

And not sure why you mentioned that it's a sequel. It's completely different from Red Dead Revolver. Just a real triumph in design from Rockstar, top to bottom.

@Starkey Love Thought I totally agree with your comments on Super Meat Boy. Really a magical little game.

RDR is good, but has flaws that keep it from GOTY.
1. Story which they hit upon
2. Simplified combat - personally doing the quick aim left little challenge. Satisfiying for awhile but got old quick
3. Larger battles felt.....disjuncted. Never felt a tie into them. Didn't care if people lived or died. I was just a hired gun, forced to fight battles I cared little about.

It did some things right and even great and shines well beyond any GTA installment but there's too many good games that left more of an impression upon me than RDR.

As for Monday night combat.......you're doing it wrong. To mark a great game down for cheaters.....especially when they don't take the time to counter those cheats (yes you can overcome the assasin's moneyball attack) but in a way it falls back to strategy which makes MNC great. You can run defence, over heal your bots and have a support class thow down a turrent which will kill the assasin, then stategically make your assault. with some teamwork, a little distraction you can hack or kill the enemy turrents and take the win.......or just whine that it's just too hard.

Totally agree Starkey. I think sometimes Red Dead gets beaten up a little by joystiq staffers because it murdered the competition that month. Essentially ending the Alan wake series.
Its still not game of the year for me but comes in a close second to Mass Effecto dos. Alan Wake doesn't crack my top five. You can't have a story driven game with such horrible voice acting(minus Barry).

Right when Richard said it was his birthday, I thought there was a glitch in the Matrix! Thankfully, it is still glitch-free. Now where'd that Mr. Anderson go...

Adds a certain quaint charm to a game podcast. Steampunk Hinkle and the Trolley Volley.

I played Castlevania LoS all the way through and I must say that you are crazy for stopping that game early! Every new area you encounter new enemies with new attacks, the puzzles and platforming are top notch, the combat progressively gets more robust, and it is BEAUTIFUL! I'm a little disappointed in what I've heard on the podcast about it given the amount of time you have said you put in on it. Otherwise I really enjoyed this week's show, and I'll be listening again week to week.

Limbo explanation as far as I understand for Xander SPOILER WARNING!!!

Boy looks for sister / whoever the girl is. At the end he goes towards her, she disappears or whatever and he ends up on the forest floor the same as he started. After you finish the game you see two corpses on the title screen that weren't there before SO basically the girl and boy have died, and the boy is in limbo, doomed to repeat his search for her over and over forever.

Good times! I really enjoyed that game.
