PopCap's (almost) entire PC and Mac catalog is 50% off
24
Dozens of PopCap's titles are on sale through January 2 -- from Alchemy to Zuma's Revenge. The sale covers all PC and Mac downloadables, excluding the recently launched Bejeweled 3 (it also doesn't extend to any game bundles). Still, even sans its new puzzler, there are plenty of gems to be had.

Great news, for steam users, on the other hand, when people have money, vacations, and even maybe some PSN card gift from Xmas, Sony doesn't update the funken store.
Great way to end this year.

I know, it's a shame there's no other great content in the PSN store.
Wait...

Everytime you use that image, I remember the show, and cry silently knowing there will never be a new episode.

Uh, I'm sure I'm not crazy but I went to buy Bookworm a few weeks ago at Popcap and saw the $9.99 price and thought "I'll wait for a sale." So I see the headline, go over there now expecting to pay $4.99 and I see a price of $19.99 crossed out and $9.99 is the "sale" price. Is that any way to do business? Now, I could be wrong but I don't remember thinking $19.99 is WAY too much for Bookworm, which I would have thought had I seen that price tag.

ah, good point. another example: plants vs zombies is $20.00 on popcap's site, 50% off makes it $10.00. But on Steam, PvZ is $10.00, and is being marked off 30%, to $6.99 (all popcap is 30% off on steam). So really steam still has the better deals here.

I don't know why Popcap has stuck to the $20 price tag most casual PC games had before digital marketplaces became popular. It seems out of touch considering on just about every other platform Popcap games are $10 like the average casual game.
I assume that people that buy Popcap games from Popcap.com aren't the same people that know about Steam or other digital stores and therefore Popcap can get away with a premium charge on their own website.

Bejeweled 3 is tempting but I'm not sure it's $19.99 tempting. Especially since I just got Bejeweled 2.

Actually the app store has better deals then steam and popcap.com for pop cap games, I bought Bookworm, Peggle Nights and PvZ for 15 bucks or so. I wanna add that Bookworm is not worth more then 5 dollas honestly. Only 2 modes and they are both the same thing. One has a timer a d the other doesn't that's it. Peggle and PvZ are worth anything you are willing to pay for it hough

Meh, the only thing I want is PvZ and that's NORMALLY ten bucks on Steam. I'm waiting to see if it pops up on one of their daily deals.

@bigwhiteyeti It already is. PopCap is 30% off at Steam, and pretty much all the prices are cheaper than from PopCap.com - http://store.steampowered.com/app/3590/
