Those who've already downloaded the DLC are reporting that they can't access any of the new goods at all. At this point, accessing the DLC seems dependent on a title update. We've contacted both Microsoft and Ubisoft for clarification on the issue and will let you know what we find out.
Scott Pilgrim DLC finally drops on Xbox 360, but users report it doesn't work

Here's the thing: Technically, you can download the Knives Chau add-on pack for Scott Pilgrim vs The World, which adds the titular, ever-pining youngster to the game's cast of characters, along with a PvP arena, special dodgeball mode and drop-in, drop-out offline co-op, but it won't do you any good. At least right now it won't.

The game prompted me for an update (after I downloaded the DLC) and it works just fine.

Unfortunately the new achievements aren't completely working because they haven't been updated on Xbox.com. If you do get them, it won't really count. You'll have to recover your gamertag and earn them again once the site finally updates. =/

This topic is a bit late. The title update was released today but now the achievements aren't being tracked. If you had earn the achievements then you will have to recover your gamertag and redo them whenever they do register.

@Slaziman The PS3 version is suffering from a coincidentally similar, but ultimately different problem (since they're both caused by specifics of either systems handling of DLC achievement/trophies). Someone at Microsoft just needs to get off their ass and add them to xbox.com, and everything will work fine.

Add online! Seriously, this game is great what it needs the most is online!

@Juri Agreed. The game's upkeep on XBLA is also sloppy.:P
But what killed it the most for me was lack of online co-op. :(

You didn't know? You have to pay an additional 100 microsoft points in order to get the DLC to work. : P

The game still froze up within the first couple hours of playing. Thanks for the patch, Ubisoft!

Every developer who worked on this game should just quit, because they took a solid game design and awesome artwork and turned it into garbage
It has 5-10 second load times on every menu screen, it's riddled with bugs, the AI is TERRIBLE (seriously, there's barely any difference between the easiest and hardest difficulties except the stats of the enemies) and this issue with the DLC goes beyond "slap in the face"

Does this update fix the difficulty? I really just wanted to breeze through this game without a lot of grinding, but I found even "Average Joe" to be too much of a pain in the ass. It's a shame, because the game itself is pretty cool, I'm just really not interested in replaying those long levels multiple times.

Have you been buying the food/item upgrade at stores?

@LoveYouSomeEric The enemies do seem to fall much faster on Average Joe. I think it's a good thing. For the "easy mode" of a game, it was still pretty difficult. Halving the enemy health also keeps the pace of the game fast, because you're constantly getting the five-kills speed boost, and it builds a lot of momentum.
I'm not very good at beat-em-ups, admittedly. But that's kind of the point of the update. You shouldn't have to be an expert at these games to beat it. I'm a fan of this game's art style and music especially, so for me the punishing gameplay was a downside. Besides, it's not like there aren't other difficulty options to choose from if you want a more hardcore experience. Let "Average Joe" be the casual one anyone could get through without too much effort.

I was only 1 achievement from 100% and now the update will add new ones. That's a real pisser.

This game locks up constantly on both Xboxes in my house, and even when it doesn't, it's a crap shoot whether it'll save after I finish levels. It's a goddamn shame; this should be a legendary game, but instead I don't play it any more because I can't put up with the technical frustration.
Posted: Dec 30th 2010 3:24PM Jack Kevorkian said
@Panic Blitz Ive played through the game 3 or 4 times and it's only locked on me twice. Seeing how the levels are very short I deal with it.

The game freeze is actually a feature and just means you need to blow on the hard drive.
