Are the ports of the Genesis Sonic games any good on XBL? That's a pretty good price.

@Jerk Face They're just emulated, nothing really new. No problems with them. You can save anywhere, I believe with multiple saves, and S&K has the Lock-On features if you own the other games.

Some fun achievements too, with S&K by far having the easiest of the lot.

@Jerk Face
The ports are by Backbone who typically do a horrible job. They're playable enough, but Sonic 3 & Knuckles is missing the save feature, instead giving you save states which means it's impossible to play through previous levels with the Super/Hyper characters.

Glaring over sight.

@Jerk Face They're awesome! They got smoothing and makes the graphics look better, than they got awesome instant save states. Pick these up.

Anyone know if you can combine the Sonic 3 with Sonic and Knuckles like you could with the actual cartridges?

If you can I'll snap them both up, if not I guess if I felt like playing I could go down to the basement and dig up the Genesis.

@SteamPunkJin

Yes, if you own sonic & knuckles along with the other games you can do the sonic 1 special levels, sonic 2 & knuckles & sonic 3 & Knuckles.

I enjoyed the Sonic 4 trial, and got it. It's quite fun, certainly more so than a lot of reviewers made it out to be. Adventure and Sonic 4 are also on sale on PSN, for the same price ... I ended up getting Adventure there, and I have no idea why I ever loved that game.

Dang, that almost makes the butchered port of Sonic Adventure tempting...

@(Unverified) Yeah, too bad it is not widescreen. However i do wish that they allowed to change the side panel background, it is blank.

The game hasn't age gracefully compare to other 3d games. Camera is terrible as usual and has been the serie stinker and game breaker until today.

Me too. Although I am pissed I have to shell out 400 MSP to unlock the DX Directors Cut version of Adventure.

When did Sonic and Knuckles get discounted to 240msp? Seems wierd that out of all the classics, the newest gets the discount first.

I've purchased the Daily Deal every day since Christmas Day - except for today. Just can't justify re-purchasing the Sonic games since I own the Sonic Genesis Collection. Sonic Adventure would be ok, but with rumours of a Dreamcast collection en route, I think I'll wait.

I might have purchased Sonic 4, but I'm going to sit and wait and see how these "episodes" turn out. I'm willing to bet when the final episodes do come out (if they come out) that there will be a bundle of sorts offered then... I can wait for that.
