NintendoWare Weekly: Jason Rohrer Anthology, Sneezies

If you believe that the first WiiWare and DSiWare games of the new year will set the tone for the rest of 2011, then ... man, this is going to be a weird year. DSiWare gets artsy with a three-pack of games designed by Jason Rohrer, including Passage, Gravitation, and Between.

And WiiWare gets, um, sneezy ... with a port of Retro Dreamer's iPhone game Sneezies.

WiiWare

Sneezies (Chillingo, 1 player, 500 Wii Points): Use sneezing powder to make trapped creatures sneeze their way out of bubbles. Set up chain reactions to free more Sneezies.
Ghost Mania (Legendo Entertainment, 1-2 players, Wii Points): A color-matching falling block puzzle in which the falling blocks are apparently ghosts. Crazy!
Demo: Robox (DreamBox Games, 1 player, 0 Wii Points): Explore a mysterious planet as a stranded robot. Rather, explore a small area of that planet, because it's a demo.

DSiWare

Alt-Play: Jason Rohrer Anthology (Sabarasa, 1-2 players, 200 DSi Points): Three games by Jason Rohrer are collected in this single download: Passage, Gravitation, and Between. Prepare for sadness.
Word Searcher 2 (Digital Leisure, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): Find words in their natural habitat: hidden among other letters.
Music On: Drums (Abylight, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): Sequence 160 different percussion sounds to make beats.

Jason Rohrer Anthology?!?!? Wow---that's way more progressive than I ever expected Nintendo to be.

Yawn. I can see why Giantbomb is giving up reading these every week.

Can I implore that forget anything on the list this week, and go download Fluidity/Hydroventure. It may have been missed by many during the Christmas season. Awesome game, one of top 10 WiiWare games of 2010.
