Tiger 11 w/ Move is really fun.

I can't wait to try Tiger 12 w/ Move.

@MLC - I played the Move demo and it didn't seem like it was all that accurate. It was also kind of a pain having to do some things with the standard controller too.

That said, between Move functionality and the additional courses, I might consider getting it for the PS3 this year.

"A $70 collector's edition will be released on PS3, which includes five additional courses."

That line kind of annoys me. I have a PS3 but I'd be more likely to buy Tiger Woods on the 360 & I'd be willing to buy a CE with extra courses.

Otherwise, I'm kind of impressed by what they're adding this year. The Masters is definitely a great addition and adding caddies, while it sounds kind of insignificant, I think will make the game much more accessible and easy to learn for new players while still allowing it to keep the more complicated elements.

@Mcmax3000 Dont worry they will sell those five courses on live for around the same price $10.

Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods & masters in the same sentence is funny seeing as he hasn't won anything one since 2005. how is that for irony , EA figured they have this loser under contract might as well use him for something . whould have perfered this game be associated w/ the masters current winner not this chump.

@kmcroc 25 PGA Tour wins since 2005, 4 of which, were major championships, including the 2008 US Open. Even if he never won again, he has already proved how great a golfer he is.

@kmcroc Do a comparison or tv ratings and ticket sales when Tiger is playing and when he is not playing. Hate to burst your bubble, but golf is dependent on Tiger's participation. Until the next Tiger.

I think it's sort of obvious that EA is "phasing out" the Tiger Woods name from their videogames.

Reminds me of the whole Modern Warfare 2/Call of Duty thing.

Unless Tiger starts winning tournaments, that is.

1) He's not on the box (unless he's the faceless golfer in the background)

2) Masters totally trumps his name on the box.

@Enosoma The lack of the augusta courses is been the biggest contention for golf fans and these games for years. It's a big deal they finally got the tournament so I am not surprised it gets the biggest bill on the cover.

"Call of Duty" may have been phased out in the *last* Infinity Ward title, but it's still a billion-dollar, globally recognizable moniker and was attached to the last two GOOD Call of Duty games (WaW, BO).

I see your point, but this may simply be a temporary tactic by EA, and Jack Kevorkian is right. Until Tiger Woods' personal issues "cool down," EA is capitalizing on something golf fans have demanded for years (The Masters)--while simultaneously using Tiger's name to sell the product to fringe golf/golf game fans. Even after all his personal crap, Woods *is* golf for almost half of the broadcast audience, so unless he becomes irrelevant and stumbles out of the top 10, I don't see EA abandoning the brand.

Seems like a way of establishing the brand as the Masters, so they can dump the Tiger Woods/PGA name in the future.

That better be an upgrade to the terrible Move support in 11. John Daly completely stomped Tiger Woods 11 in regards to Move functionality.

The amazing 8 month release cycle of Tiger Woods games continues.

This is still the game that they sell new for $60 and then take away online tournaments and sometimes online play all together less than a year after it's been out.

There's a sucker in every crowd.

John Daly's ProStroke has Move support, costs $30, and doesn't send the message to EA that they can release the same game every 8 months for full price.

Except for the release date shifts of Tiger Woods '08 and '10, the series has pretty much consistently been released 12 months apart over the last decade.

EA's goal is to try to release the game closer to the start of the PGA season, and before the Masters (In April) hence the advancement of release dates. In all honesty, it makes sense, and it's something they should have done in the first place.

BTW, Tiger Woods 2011 (released 8 months ago) is no more than $39 new pretty much everywhere.

Choosing to keep Tiger Woods is a no brainer for EA: a huge chunk of people who watch golf on TV do so *because* of Tiger Woods, and the popularity of the PGA tour has grown exponentially because of his branding and presence. Even now, after all of his stupid shenanigans, the ratings disparity between events that feature him and those that don't is staggering.

This translates directly to golf video games, which cater *mainly* to that casual golf fan who wouldn't be watching golf if it wasn't for Tiger. EA is hedging their bets and waiting out the Tiger controversy--they know that millions will *still* tune in to a Major event if he's in contention on Sunday.

i feel bad for Tiger, so much judgment passing on a guy who just liked to stick his club into oh so hot females. He who is without sin cast the first stone indeed. EA looks to be phasing him out by next year when it will be called The Masters 2012

He's no more or less of a dirtbag than any other jerk who cheats on his wife and children with dozens of other women, and as such, he's being judged accurately. Being a billionaire athlete in the public eye simply magnifies that judgement, but that's the life he chose... Feeling sorry for him is frankly a tad ridiculous...

The last game with motion plus on the Wii was actually pretty damn impressive. I have a projector setup in my basement and it felt like a virtual golf simulator. Sometimes I would get a little too into it and swing the little (and light) wiimote so hard my back and shoulder would hurt. I'm smart.

It looks like they are phasing Tiger out, honestly.

If EA decides it's a good idea to charge $70 (CDN) for the Xbox 360 version of Tiger Woods again this year - then you can count me out.

$70 is far too much to ask for what ultimately amounts to an update, year after year. Plus, the Tiger Woods DLC has increased in price almost every year since the 360 launched.

If EA keeps grabbing dollars from gamers, like Tiger Woods was grabbing booty - they too will be burned eventually.

I think next year is an important year for the Tiger Woods franchise, almost "do or die". So keep the price low, EA, and get more people on board playing it!

The same thing has been happening with Madden for years, and with, IMO, the same if not less innovation.

It's amazing how EA can think Tiger's 'sex scandal' is somehow worse than a golf course that didn't even allow black people until 1990.

Tiger made it possible for people my age to watch and play golf without feeling old and conservative. The Masters and Augusta does the opposite by bringing back the old boys club.

Augusta or no, imo this won't be as good as last years, unless you can still get the pre-nup power ups. Though virtual ball washers might be interesting.

I am glad that EA is sticking with Tiger. I think the whole scandal humanized him and made him more approachable as a person and not as aloof. He is now infallible, and he can only go up from here. Hopefully with age and maturity he will become an even golfer and person who will continue to represent EA well like Madden.

I guess Xbox needs a super magic golf contoller that works as good as the Motion Plus/Move. I play 11 on the Wii all the freaking time, but would rather play it with HD graphics.

Either that or I could get a PS3.

I remember when the Tiger Woods series started out on the PC and you automatically had Augusta and the actual major tournament names, not this EA Majors BS. You also had a course creator. All EA did was eliminate everything and then slowly bring it back like it's something new. It's a fun game, but I'm done paying for "new" versions.

I remember 2 weeks ago when my Dad (who rarely EVER plays Video Games, except for Tiger Woods, Madden, and Burnout occasionally when I'm around) tells me, out of the blue, the next Tiger Woods game features The Masters and he wanted to get it.

At first I was like "Huh?" and thought 'How the hell did he find this out when I had no idea it existed?' Anyways, I was impressed by my dad, also that the Masters was that important outside real-life
