I dunno, sounds like a load of dingo's kidneys to me. 3D gives me a headache but my eye sight, when last checked, was fantastic.

And by "dingo's kidneys" I assume you mean completely legitimate and sense-making factual observations by trained professionals?

Even dingo's have kidneys, so that must be what it means.

@Demaar If your eyesight is actually good, and the 3D hurts, it is a sign of bad content. Most 3D content created today is not designed to be easy on your eyesight, so this "bad stereo" you are used to seeing is just the content creator not knowing the limits of the human eyes and making things arbitrarily too separated, too fast motion, or incorrectly placing things on the edges of the screen, so in turn it tends to hurts your eyes or head. But if someone is looking at "pleasing" content and it hurts, then I can say that usually it is a sign of actual vision problems. This happens a lot when we show 3D content to customers, and either they are wearing glasses or they need them, so they complain about the 3D hurting.

Not sure why your comment was downvoted. Many people get headaches from watching 3D movies, because the lenses in your eyes are constantly trying to focus on the images where they LOOK like they are (floating in the air in front of you) rather than where they REALLY are (on the screen). This constant refocusing gives you a headache.

3DS' main thing is "No need for glasses" so adding glasses... would make 3DS not so neat.

@Faenix Well the way I was using it was that the glasses arent for rendering the 3D effect its from protecting you from the 3-D Effect but your point still stands.

"cheap ass gamers"? Seriously? Because we don't want to spend $1500 to play 3 PSN games in 3D? Well then call me a cheap ass because I'd rather go with Nintendo's much more advanced, less expensive, dorky-glasses-free version.

@A Sandwich "I'd rather go with Nintendo's much more advanced, less expensive, dorky-glasses-free version"...?

Sure, it's your opinion, but... If I can remember a little, Toshiba has design a prototype of LCDs 3D glasses-free some time ago, and they quit the development because of the limitations, that are pretty huge...

If you are saying that is "more advanced" to have a less apreciative 3D for a not so cheap price like that, than ok, go for it...

Because Zelda in 3D will be awesome... and completely different from what it have been for a while...

I will just go for my Killzone 3, tnks...

You mean parents? The parents should have already given their kid a Nintendo handheld, then been interested enough in their kids light to determine they may be having trouble seeing the screen and taken them to the eye doctor to get checked out.

As I've said before, this is similar to what my fiancee has. A brain/eye disorder called alternating exotropia, which basically means she can only see out of one eye at a time, never both at the same time.

No 3D, no dept perception.

She was mad when the audience was oohing and aahing over Saw 3D and she couldn't see a damn difference.

I did hear, however, that there are therapies designed to enable stereoscopic vision for her and those like her.

I said miss out on the 3D, meaning the effect.

I understand I would have wasted $18 on our two tickets, but I've accumulated a ton of points at my local theater so I've got a bunch of free tickets.

I haven't enjoyed a Saw movie since Saw 2

I don't think 3D technology has matured enough or been around long enough for long term effects to really be studied. I mean, come one, adults develop eye problems from looking at 2D computer monitors- You don't think kids while still in their development stages won't suffer later on from staring at 3D screens?

I've been looking at things in 3D for 27 years (minus the times I got something in my eye or was winking). I don't understand why it's now a problem.

I agree to a point, but I think their theory is if a small child isn't interested in it, then perhaps they are having problems seeing the 3D.

I'm not convinced though. My kids hate going to 3D movies, though it could be the glasses.......
