Honestly, don't use them, It obscures Shepard's face and makes him look like one of those generic wannabe Master chiefs.

True. I wish you could just take the helmet off on the special armor. It really does kill the gravitas of the cut scenes when you can't see the excellent facial animations.

That said, the Collector armor that came with the LE was pretty dang cool looking.

Only use it on your Insanity run through. The pre-order stuff actually does help in that instance only.

I was wondering about all of these. I have all of the pre-order bonus content from that time it leaked on XBL, just remember not to wear the armour because it breaks the immersion badly - unless they fixed that glitch for the PS3 version.

Will you guys get the rest of the pre-order DLC?

Indeed. This whole store exclusive DLC bullcrap is infuriating. Glad at least the PS3 version isn't getting boned by this. Sucks for early adopters though :(

I still want my M-490 Blackstorm for my PC version. I bought the Digital Deluxe Edition preorder, and since it wasn't through Gamestop (Gamestop didn't offer it) I couldn't get it.

I just wish the game would automatically remove the helmet during cutscenes. Liara looked pretty silly kissing my visor.

@The Tim It'd be even better if the game could have Shepard actually remove it in the cutscenes.

I mean, it sounds like a relatively simple thing, but maybe it's harder to program than one would expect.

Didn't you hear? The suits are "works of art" so you can't defile them by removing the helmet.

Yeah, the concept of "touch-based interaction" is the most revolutionary and complicated thing in video games today. Just ask Peter Molyneux if you don't believe me.

@Shadsy I still wouldn't call the PS3 version the "definitive" edition; the interactive comic sounds nice, and it'll include of the "big" decisions, but I was consistently surprised and blown away by all of the small details the game world "remembered" from my ME1 game. People who play this exclusively on PS3 won't get that aspect of the game.

Really, I don't think there *is* a "definitive" edition. That's frustrating to me; I was hoping the Collector's Edition would be that. I'll probably buy the game again on PS3 (just so I can enjoy a couple of runthroughs with different Shepards, because ME1 is a lot harder to play after playing ME2), but my first Shepard will always be my "real" Shepard.

While it's annoying when developers give rewards to new customers, rather than those who've been supporting them since launch.. This is at least a new version of the game for a different console.

I think it's worse when they take things that were supposed to be pre-order bonuses or limited edition content.. and then release it for everyone.

Like Teletheus I can't consider the PS3 version to be the "definitive" version because of those missing details that reflect little decisions from ME1. It's really the only thing keeping me from buying the PS3 version. And I don't think it's really an attempt on the part of BioWare to make it the definitive version, either--it's just heavy marketing for the re-release of a game that's already been out for a year. Stuff like this tempts people with more than one platform who may have already bought another version of it, too, because some fans are that crazy (if every variable were included I would drop money on this so fast heads would spin at the local game store :P).

I'm more annoyed by the fact that they're giving away the Blood Dragon Armor to everyone and not just the people who bought and played Dragon Age. On the other hand, who cares? It's not like Bioware is taking away anything from anyone, just giving certain things to certain consumers. PS3 owners can be happy that they're getting a disc with a crapton of extras on it (though it is going to cost full price as opposed to the $35-$40 it would cost to buy ME2 and the extras for 360 now.) 360 owners can just be content that they played this game a year ago and can use that week to play Dead Space 2 or whatever.

Everyone's a winner with Bioware!

So wait, this is one of those "timed" free-DLCs that become paid items after a certain amount of time?

I think some games did this, like Brutal Legend.
And I believe I noticed this happened with the Lara Croft game in the last update (when the price was changed from Free to some amound of money).

Before I read the article, I thought PS3 owners were getting ALL the pre-order bonuses. While I want ME to be shared with everyone, I really would've sided with the Xbox fanboys if that happened. It was hard work getting all the pre-order items, and I don't live in North America!

Also, a protip to the PS3-only folks who will be playing for the first time: Play a FemShep. Seriously. The voice acting for FemShep is SO much better. Jennifer Hale is peerless. (The adjective, not the athlete.)

@Shadsy Except that you can just buy all of this content. The PS3 is essentially getting a "Game of the Year" type version of the game. Which is pretty standard for a release a year later.

I own both consoles and played this game on day 1 on the 360. I am happy that I already have had the experience and am glad others will get to enjoy parts 2 and 3.

But... if I were Microsoft and I fronted money to publish the first game, market it, get it out the door and make it popular and EXCLUSIVE... I'd be pretty ticked right now.

@baby sea tuna Actually, you need to keep in mind how many people bought ME 2 from day one with Xbox 360 which was $60, then add the fact that I'm sure most, if not all people who bought ME 2 at full price also bought all the DLC's that have came out for ME2 at full price. So if you do the math, PS3 players are still getting a deal as compared to the XBOX 360 players that have already bought the game and all the DLC and full retail price.
