...as much as Mad Catz usually deserves ire and contempt for their awful, shoddy creations, that carrying case is pretty fly. I WANT.

I don't know, it doesn't seem like you could fit a fully grown woman and various weapons of any use in there.

...wow, yeah. That's really bad. Imagine trying to play NES VC games with that. Or worse yet, games that utilize both the remote and Nunchuk.

Still, awesome carrying case trumps poorly-designed remote.

I see no problem with the 1/2 button angle, it's just like a SuperNES controller basically.

Also, does Nintendo still hold a patent on the plus design dpad? Everything else sucks. I even hate the playstation arrows.

Apparently the patent expired in 2005.

Also, real quick, apparently the Dreamcast had the "cross" style D-pad too, I just forgot: http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/gizmodo/2009/06/800px-Dreamcast_Controller.jpg

I can't even imagine the awkward grip you'd have to put on that controller to successfully run and jump in NSMB Wii. What the hell were you thinking, Mad Catz?

@Shadsy Odd, because I'm digging the 1/2 button placement.

Mad Catz: Making terrible accessories out of the cheapest material possible, and making people wonder why the hell we are still in business.

Oh wait, we know. The cheapass gamer who only looks at price, and when they see a controller $2 less than every other controller, buys it, it breaks within a week, then they buy another one. Making us rich.

I can't understand why the hell Mad Catz is even still in business? Who the hell buys their products? Their logo is the biggest red flag ever.

There is an entire subsection of the market that sees cheaper products at Best Buy, Walmart, or Gamestop and thinks they will get more value from MadCatz. Hopefully they all learn the lesson after the first time. I know I did.

I honestly can't decide if Mad Catz or cheap-ass "GameStop" brand wares are worse.

It really is a toss-up.

@Rocketboy I like the idea, but it would be so much better with the 2 button in the lower position. Similar to the Y and B position on the SNES controller.

As it is, it looks about as unfriendly as playing some NES games with the classic controller, or GBA games with the NDS. Most especially frustrating with games you hold B / 1 to run or charge your weapon ... it's just awkward, and counter ergonomic to the natural position our thumb rests on the controller.

That is something I've been complaining about since the DS launched and then when Virtual Console launched ... it's ridiculous that Nintendo never allowed us to change GBA button layout on a DS or NES layouts for use with Classic Controllers.
