Hard Corps: Uprising priced, screenshotted

Leading the charge on February 16 in XBLA's House Party promotion is Konami's "not-Contra" title, Hard Corps: Uprising, for 1200 MS points ($15). Alongside the news of the game's price, Konami dropped off a gaggle of new screenshots as well. No Bill or Lance to be found, unfortunately.

Microsoft Selects KONAMI's Run-and-Gun Action Side-Scroller to be Part of Their Xbox LIVE ® Arcade House Party Program This Winter
KONAMI today revealed the release date and pricing for Hard Corps: Uprising, which has been selected to kick off Microsoft's Xbox LIVE® Arcade House Party program this winter. The first title out of five from the XBLA House Party program, Hard Corps: Uprising will be available for consumers to download on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Along with the release date, KONAMI has revealed new screenshots to accompany today's announcement.

$15? Wow. Does it come with an unlockable Contra Hard Corps?

Where have you been? $15 is the new $10. It sucks, but people keep paying it, so companies will keep charging it. Am I the only one who just buys less of these game instead (serious question, I really am curious about that).

Thats like.. the most I have paid for a game, that wasnt on disk, since that Ratchet & Clank PSN game. And that was 2008. xD

According to Wikipedia it is, though thats unreliable.. but its never been 100% wrong before about game releases. In my experience at least.

I buy a ton of these games priced at $15. When I put in perspective that I spend 8-10 dollars on lunch most days (I love Panera Bread) I really doesn't seem that expensive for me. Even if I only get 3-5 hours out of each game I find it a decent value.

Really? The day after MvC3?

I REALLY want this game and all, but more than likely I'm gonna be waist deep in MvC3 for quite a while.

15 dollars. They are really off their rocker aren't they. I got a better idea how about I blow off my Snes and have fun with Contra 3 instead.

Hard Corps was a beast of a game in my childhood, and I'd like to revisit that part of my childhood, but not for 15$. I suppose I can sample the trial to see if my expectations are exceeded, but...I'm not expecting as much.

@MGTrey Contra: Hard Corp was a bit frustrating in sections, but getting to the monkey throne room was worth the effort. The voices were awful.

I LOVE me some Contra, but this doesn't look like Contra to me. I'ma agree with Stevetop above. I'll go play some Contra III on the VC and Contra 4 on my DS.

Let's be real. Even if it was released at 800 points people would still complain that it's not cheaper...

Exactly. $15 is cheap considering your getting BlazBlue level of animation and sprite detail.

People will run out and pay $60 for the new Call of Duty, Halo, Madden (though not so much anymore), 2K game, etc but whine and complain a PSN/LIVE game is $15?

I had read somewhere there was a mode where you earn money and buy guns.

People complaining about it being $15 is far more ridiculous than the fact that it's $15.
