Oh, because there's SOOO much fine-tuning that needs to be done for a Super Monkey Ball title.

Hey, I don't mind. I like my balls' handling to be just right.

He was kidding. Super Monkey Ball is not none for its ground breaking innovative controls with each new release. It's bascially more of the same stuffed with different levels.

@JIAGPOS

You're kidding, right? The series is all about new controls with every release. Here's a partial breakdown:

Monkey Ball (Arcade) - banana tilt control
Super Monkey Ball - analog joystick
Super Monkey Ball Jr. - digital control
Touch & Roll - touch screen
Banana Blitz - Wiimote accelerometer and IR
Step & Roll - Wii Balance Board
Monkey Ball 3D - circle pad and accelerometer

...nevermind the old cell phone and iPhone games, which I don't remember off the top of my head.

I noticed that SSFIV has no 'Nintendo Wi-fi Connection" logo, despite that fact that online has been confirmed.

Does this mean we are going to see a new online system? NWFC gone for good?!?

@commenter7
probably down to lag, it's bad enough on PS360, let alone the Wii, handhelds would likly be worse off

I'm really hoping America's later release date leads to at least a few more games; Street Fighter 4 is good and all but I need me some Resident Evil (probably) and Ocarina (hopefully)

@Dopple Boppler
The real Resident Evil game definitely won't be done in time for the US release, but this is good news - it takes more than a few months to do a full RE game.

I think the thrown-together Mercenaries game they're porting to the system has a decent chance of being ready though. (imo mercenaries was pretty boring when it was a bonus mode in RE4:Wii, they think i'm paying for it now? yeah, no)

@SuperWoody64 I think they said both will be available since you can't tilt and play in 3D. They said the 3D will be turned of in tilt mode.

Thank Christ! I got the launch Wii Monkey Ball game and I hated the tilt with no option for thumbchuck joystick. Turrible idea.

I've been excited for this since it was announced, hopefully SEGA rights the wrongs of the Wii SMBs and produces a good title.

This should be a launch title for the 3DS. It helped launched the Gamecube, the Wii, the iPhone's App Store...
