So much news on Razer products, so little on actual PC games. Big Download is like a PC gaming Leper Colony.

@carrot74 i don't think it looks that bad tbh. if the "dynamic" keyboard is truly dynamic, it can be implemented pretty intuitively. for mmo's for instance, the moment you press the chat hotkey (or place your cursor in a text field), the keyboard could change to a regular qwerty keyboard. the moment you enter the text or get out of the text box, it could go back to the game controls.

I'm not worried about typing so much as I'd be worried about having my left hand on the WASD keys, and my right hand smearing my finger grease on the screen, obscuring my own view, as I try to mouse around. And who knows what i'll do to "click". Imagine trying to play WoW on this thing.

@ayycashh

Real keyboards aren't set up in a uniform grid, like that. The keys are staggered.

Gotta love how much of that shinied up target video they edited in to this... Really "hands on."

This thing is a mess, and I don't understand how its bamboozled everyone.

Yeah I wonder how much heat that laptop could generate.

This is such a cool concept. Sadly though, I don't see many devs supporting it.

@TraceurRyuk Prepping for LBP2 I'd imagine it would be pretty easy for the users to formulate their own custom keyboard layouts, and all the games that you'd want an efficient layout for likely already have them (the big FPS and RTS games).

It'd be kinda ridiculous to buy it and find out it doesn't support Counter-Strike or Starcraft 2.

@TraceurRyuk Prepping for LBP2

For current games I don't see it gaining a lot of popularity, but imagine how nice this thing could be for emulators! You could even play DS games properly!

i'm not a pc gamer, and it looks cool, but i'm not sure how comfortable this thing would be. It"s kinda small. for people with big hands, like me, the switchblade would be frustrating. i have a hard enough time using the increasingly small controllers for game systems without my hand cramping up.

Mix this concept with something like the Dell Inspiron Duo and include some sort of Steam integration and I'm sold.

Definitely looks cool for MMO's especially. Once The Old Republic comes out I'll need a way to get my fix.

It definitely is cool, but I worry for this product. I would at least consider buying a Razer keyboard using the same tech, but a 7" laptop? That's incredibly niche.

Yeah thats a cool concept but World of Warcraft just wouldn't feel right on a tiny screen.

I'd buy this to be able to play PC games while not sitting at my PC. I'd have to have my own mouse though. It is a sin to play shooters with a touch screen.

Can I see the specs somewhere? This is pretty cool but I've seen netbooks and they don't run much..

My bro can hardly run Super Meat Boy

This might be good for a keyboard based MMO like FFXI or FFXIV, but I don't think it could run XIV. Still, as a niche FFXI product that could be pretty dope.
