Wheel friction removed from GTA IV, chaos ensues
86
We didn't know Liberty City could get any more dangerous until we saw what YouTube user "dot12321" had done with the place. By adjusting the wheel friction on GTA IV's vehicles to a negative value, dot12321 spawned some truly killer cars. See the complete and utter chaos after the break.

Truth. I remember the first time I turned on aggressive citizens and gave them guns. It felt like walking into the Apocalypse.

@PreGHz Honestly, GTA IV's driving physics are pretty far from reality to anybody who's actually driven a car. In my opinion, San Andreas and Saints Row 2 have great physics for game driving - it's not that they're 100% realistic, it's that you feel like you have contorol. Turning the wheel = turning the car.
But in GTA IV, turning the wheel = sliding around slowly and/or spinning out of control on an easy corner at a slow speed. It's like jelly. Of course it's easy to get used to once you understand the games take on physics, but a lot of GTA IV fans seem to mistake its driving physics with reality, when it's so very from reality.

@MrXBob I actually agree with everything you said. And I don't know how anyone can disagree with you, San Andreas' driving feels superior. No way are we downplaying GTAIV at all.

So, just to get this straight.... negative friction basically means objects (in this case wheels) increase in speed the more they contact other objects?
