PSA: EA half-off sale begins this week on Xbox Live

EA is giving Xbox Live gamers quite the sale this week. From January 18 to 24, EA is discounting a variety of game add-ons and Arcade games at half-off. Even EA's recently released Microbot is getting the 50% treatment! Check out the full list of discounts after the break.

Been meaning to pick up DeathSpank for a while . . . now I'll get both games for the price of one.

BTW. If anyone for whatever reason has not yet picked up Battlefield 1943 . . .

First off, shame on you . . .

Second, this is easily one of the best (easily in the top 10) XBLA games of all time. I don't know how many countless hours I spent playing this when it came out a couple of summers back. And I still go back to it every few months to get a quick Battlefield fix. It is so much fun and so worth it. Hope one day soon, DICE will make another.

@Tachyonic Cargo I disagree. It's well done, but it's such a niche game - it just didn't have enough, well "generic shooter" in it for me and I uninstalled it pretty quick. It's just doesn't appeal to everyone.

@poopdedoop While you're at it, if you like playing with only like 20 different people and the constant lag, BF1943 is for you.

Wrong - DO NOT PURCHASE BATTLEFIELD 1943! They have shut down a good chunk of the servers, and thus you will find many moments when you either
A) get a game that is completely unplayable due to lag
B) can't get a game at all!

While I agree the game was great when it first dropped, I purchased it about 8 months after it first came out and I had a damn near impossible time playing it around the year anniversary mark. And since the game is completely reliant on online multiplayer, there is no point to purchasing it.

activision titles were on 50% sales as well for last a few days at least.

I heard Deathspank got good reviews. I'll look into it!

Will probably give Deathspank, Battlefield 1943, and Microbot a try.

Wow, horrible timing for me then. I just got into the series (finished ME2 just the other day). Well, I've bought the Shadow Broker add-on and if any of the others are even a quarter as good as it is, it won't hurt my feelings -too- much to pay full price.

@RickGhastly Shadow Broker is probably the best of the three, but I enjoyed both Stolen Memory and Overlord.

If Firepro Avatar wrestling or Ghostbusters doesn't come out this week I'll get Deathspank.

and of course no Sony love, whoever is in charge of the PSN needs to be changed, it's not even competitive

The XBLA is the best part about the 360, and one of the best things this gen. Lots of great, original games and constant sales. And you can earn free MS points using that stupid Bing bar.

Damnit I was hoping Mass Effect 2 DLC would on sale again since I didn't have enough points to buy Kasumi last time but both the original Deathspank (already have T.O.V) and Microbot seem tempting

I really desperately want Connect 4x4 to go on sale.

battlefield 1943 sounds tempting since i need a new fps multiplayer and could use some battlefield gameplay

Probably because they've been on sale a few times before. You can only get a discount hooker so often before you stop wanting to ever pay full price.

I bought Risk Factions like last week. dammit.

It's too bad MicroBot's controls weren't as tight as Geometry Wars or Mutant Storm Empire. The aesthetic and atmosphere are outstanding, but as a game it's definitely not as memorable or action paced as Armada, Mutant Storm Empire or Assault Heroes 2.

@mcnerven If you want to play the better game it was ripped from play Power Up Forever on xbla.

I'm picking up the Tiger courses and 1943. Maybe death spank. Great sale.

Couldn't give no mass effect 2 love? I missed the 1 day sale over the holidays with everything being 200-400 points. A shame they didn't help out with the launch of the ps3 version with getting some buzz going around with a good sale.

But there was no sale for Dragon Age dlc on psn ever.

@mwatcher: I shared all Dragon Age DLC with some friends on PS3, and got 80% discount this way on day 1.
