I can confirm all of this. I was with Jeff Green at a private meeting with PopCap and saw both Peggle and Plants vs. Zombies running on Android. That's all I will say on those until I write about it for the various blogs I work for.

I hope they are offering the full version of PvZ and not the gimped version that they sold on iPhone. You only get the story mode and not the majority of the modes that unlock after you beat the story mode (Puzzle, Mini-games, survival, and zen mode).

Buy the superior versions on Steam or XBLA.

@CrashTunoku

I can guarantee you its the same version as the iOS. since the Android Market is so fragmented, they have to develop for the lowest common denominator, so I doubt you will be able to play it on the lower grade Android phones

Whoo-hoo! More games for Android!

Oh god, I smell in the future a massive war between Iphone and Android gamers like with PS3 and 360, timed exclusives and DLC, etc. Oh god...

Not as long as Android is as fragmented as it is

Why are all these Android fanboys trying to compare their phones to iPhones? you cant even compare them from a gaming standpoint. Just be happy you're getting an iPhone ports. IPhone is to Android as Xbox 360 is to Zeebo at this point in time as far as gaming is concerned.

You Android users sure do have a lot of home screens though...

@Pojomofo

Who here is comparing Android gaming to iPhone gaming?

The answer is YOU! You say gaming on an android isn't even comparable to an iPhone, and yet there are games like THESE coming out, angry birds (which is FREE I might add) and plenty of other games already made, and being released.

The future is bright for us android users... Get over it.

Um, I see exactly one person in this entire comment section right now who mentions iPhones, and he simply says he hopes this version isn't as gimped.

Except you. You are mentioning iPhones repeatedly. And you are trying to mock people by calling them "Android fanboys", when no one here is arguing mobile OS's. They simply say "Nice, I just an an Android phone,"

So, Apple idiot confirmed? It must suck to be constantly defending your stuff when no one is attacking it. Someone mentions something positive about the OPPOSING OS, and you have to go into "iPhone defense mode".

"Why are you fanboys defending your platform? Clearly you see iOS is a superior platform. How dare you take pleasure in games coming to your system. Stop defending it! Stop defending it I say!:

You sound like an idiot, and sound like you are shouting to no one.

@Ordeith Does seem a little odd that Popcap hasn't hopped on that train yet, since Microsoft said that you only need to change 1% of the code for an XBLA game to get a WP7 game. And PvZ is on XBLA, so...

@Ordeith I wouldn't worry too much, it'll happen. Android's very popular and Pop Cap has had a lot of time to work on it - WP7 is probably next.

At least we have mobile ilomilo. Need more of that, though. The game is too short.

For my fellow Android users out there who want something to tide them over until Peggle arrives, try out "Peggy" from the marketplace. It's a shameless ripoff, but it definitely gets the job done.

I would definitely buy Peggle again... Had it on the iTouch & 360. PvZ on the xbox but I'm sure it makes more sense to play on android like angry birds. Quick fun games

When I saw the headline, for a moment, I thought they were making an addon to play Peggle INSIDE Plants vs. Zombies, which would have been, yeah.
