This is a good move, distancing this from the horribly-received XIII.

At least it's not ANOTHER new upcoming FF game.

@Mach2 ... nearly 6 million copies sold = horribly received?

@Mach2 "horribly received" with metacritic score 80+ ? it's just haters crying and whining that they didn't get beloved emo ballad similar to ff7. Game is good, yes it have it's problems but i myself and many of my friends enjoy it!

No. I meant "horribly received" as in critically panned. There are dozens of bad games that still sell tremendously well. Doesn't mean they're good.
I still don't personally know anyone who thinks XIII is a good game, but that's a discussion for another comment box.

Okay, ignore me. Apparently the critics loved it, and I was just colored by the few middling reviews and the awful word-of-mouth I've gotten.

Now I just have to wonder why the critics liked it...

I think the brandname was it.
If all of reviewers give i another look the critics wold be much worse.
Same with the sold copies, everyone bought the game cause of the brandname, but I wonder how much poeple played through the whole game or were happy with their purchase...
I was one of the disappointed, bought it, thought it were good as always and hated it... Never finished the game and i will definitly not buy this one here...

@Mach2 I loved XIII. The combat was fast and fun.
On Topic: I kinda liked the name "Agito."

It's not the best in the series, but its not the worst.

It's probably one of the better games to come out of the JRPG genre on the 360/PS3. Which isn't saying much, but yeah...

FFXII was bad, never got to finish it. FFXIII demanded some effort to pass the somewhat painful first part, but once the world opened up... well, for me, 140h and the only retail game I achieved the whole 1000GS. Character relationship is great and the plot, although not great, is full of potential (which I hope to be explored in XIII-2)

I might have gotten in for the brand, but stayed for the ride.

@ZexionArmando don't use sale numbers to convince you that it was a great game. The most terrible game can sell millions just look at GTA4. How about you play actually play the game instead of looking at sale numbers

Nope. FFXII was amazing. That's the direction the series can go, great exploration, great characters (with the exception of Vaan), amazing battle system, story, world... everything about it was awesome.

FFXIII was disappointing for me, especially since they decided to go back to the linearity of FFX after the amazing exploration of FFXII. But the game got better, and definitely had a great battle system. I think I liked the game better in the Endgame (got my plat yesterday). Which is funny, I found more people who liked the game but hated the endgame.

I like it! (Please don't kill me).

I'm a long time fan of jRPGs, so I don't care much for moral choices or branching story lines. I only look for solid combat (still haven't found a game with better battle system than 13) and strong story to follow. In my opinion, 13 excels in both area if you look past the prejudice.

It's understandable though. I know most westerners consider crafting your own story as the most important part of an RPG. But to me, RPGs mean you take on the role of someone else, and you follow the story through, even if you don't get to make many choices.

NOT THE 1ST PSP GAME TO BE ON TWO UMD's!!!

But it's still a very unusual development.

Considering the amount of money bleeding from the company, this new title is rather poignant.

So they already set up 3 sequels?

The filings for Type 1, 2, and 3 now worry me.

"Please insert UMD 2"

Am i the only one who thought I'd never have to read this at this point in the PSP's life cycle?

@skyblaze I didn't even know this was possible on the PSP. This is the first I've ever heard of PSP games requiring more than one disc.

I really hope it becomes available on PSN... I'd much rather have it all on one file saved to system memory than having to carry around UMDs

So are we supposed to add having/switching 2 discs to our Sony defense arsenal? I got so used to bragging about the opposite when FF13 came out.
