Modern Combat: Domination trailer wants you to know the game costs $8

Is Gameloft's Modern Warfare 2 clone for PSN any fun? We'll find out when it hits today; however, for now we can derive from this trailer that it costs $8, an amount Gameloft says is on par with bus tickets or a foot-long sandwich. It also supports PlayStation Move.

COD clone, but is it any good?

@Liamario Knowing Gameloft it will be meh, but not tragic. About 10 years ago they used to make great, high quality java/symbian mobile games... And 10 years later they still make the same quality level games, but unfortunately quality standards are much higher now ;)
Can't think straight today, did that even make any sense?

For $8 this game looks damn good. This is the sort of stuff that is good to encourage by purchasing in my opinion. If we support the FPS games that are trying to give us more bang for less buck, it'll benifit us as those games will continue to improve and their prices wont continue to grow.

imagine how tired your gonna get after playing this. I can't say this is going to succeed.

@shopping bags I've played MAG with Move, considering Move is extremely precise you don't really have to move much if you rest your arm on your knee.

Not a bad looking trailer at all, but since everyone is busy with Black Ops nobody will care.

I will consider it if I can play with bots.

What, no single player? I guess that was too much to ask for $8.

I'd actually buy this over the Call of Duty's any day - if it's as good as it looks. It seems to have all the basic MW2/Black Ops gameplay with some Counter Strike sprinkled in. Can't beat that for 8 bucks. It won't tear MW2/BO players away in droves, but it might get those who don't own either due to the cost to try this out.

Looks graphically impressive for $8. I would probably buy it, if I had a Move.

I've been interested in Modern Combat Domination ever since I bought Move last week. I need something to tide me over till Killzone 3 and don't want to spend too much money. For $8 its its a bargin provided its not junk.
Frankly, I don't think MC: Domination's target audience is regular Cod players rather Move owners whom want a fps Move alternative to MAG. Hopefully the budget price gives the game a decent following.
Add me if you plan on getting it and/or Dead Space 2.

I'm curious about this aiming style that this game and the Wii FPS games have.
I'd like to see one which is mouse style...Where the aim is always centered so your view moves. Are there any out there?

I remember reading on the Killzone 3 blog post that you could set the dead zone to essentially zero, creating a more mouse-like effect. I'm curious to see how well it turns out.

Goldeneye Wii has controls similar to how Killzone 3's configurations sound. Basically yea, there is a mode where there is almost no dead zone, though you want to have at least a very small dead zone because it's tougher to keep a motion controller centered and still than it is to not move a mouse or analogue stick. However, this method of control is NOT like a mouse. It is essentially replacing the right analogue stick with a motion controller. It is the same acceleration-based aiming that you'll find on a normal console controller.
Mouse-like movement would require the aiming system to stop rotating the camera the instant you stop moving the controller. With these games, you tilt it right and it will continuously rotate the camera rigut until you point the wand back towards the center of the screen. It's disappointingly similar to an analogue stick.
They have potential, as they are pointing devices, but no developer has implemented a control configuration that reaches that potential. Screw it, I've been in this conversation too many times and I'm tired of using words to describe the possible solutions. I'm going to write up a thesis with diagrams and link to it from now on. I'll be back to show you my ideas if I follow through.

Because this is a Move compatible FPS diversion I may try it. I figure this is what the sentiment that Gameloft is going after.
Did anyone play id's Rage iphone game? I think that game would be a perfect PSN move title.

Here it costs $1.10 to ride the bus, and you can get a footlong sandwich at Subway for $5. Even combined the two are still cheaper than this game.
I think $8 is more representative of a movie ticket or even your average meal at an IHOP.

@sonicspike41 Well here in Chicago a Bus ticket is $2 each and Jimmy John subs in combo are almost $9 while Subways are just shy of $7.

I wasn't bashing anything. I was just making an observation. If anything these days $8 for a downloadable game is on par, if not cheap.

Pretty sure Metroid Corruption on the Wii does that if you set the motion control mode to "advanced".

i'm tempted, just b/c I don't really have anything that utilizes the Move for at least a couple weeks until Killzone 3 comes out.

Also, people making comments about the shotgun... it could be a slug. :D
