That makes one of us. I thought Mercs was a total snoozefest. I ground out those achievements with 2 consoles only to have my completed game be taken away from me by the newest DLC's pro mode. Jerks.

Without Leon or Wesker, this game does not include my "favorite Resident Evil characters." Good ones, but definitely not my "favorites."

Hell Wesker's been in Mercs from the get go (Exclude RE3) for him not to be here would be a slap in the face to everyone.

Isn't this coming out in March in Japan? Why do we have to wait until summmmmmerrrrrrr. Totally disappointed then, all I'm interested in at launch is Street Fighter; guess it'll be that and Pokemon White for me

@ChrisAre I'm with you there. Don't get me wrong, been an RE fan since the very first game on PS1, but the facts are these, Dead Space has really out Resident Eviled, Resident Evil this gen. In too many ways to mention, Dead Space is the game that Resident Evil 5 should have been. And judging by what I have already seen (and played) of Dead Space 2, Visceral Games is about to turn the heat up by a factor of ten, leaving the RE series so far in it's dust it won't be funny.
As for Mercenaries, no story campaign = no purchase. I'll more than happily wait a little longer if necessary until Resident Evil: Revelations appears on 3DS to give me a proper RE fix.

Yeah I'm a huge fan of RE. I was even an advocate for RE5. RE is a successful franchise because of the story. From this trailer, it looks like this game is seriously lacking in the story department and is just trying to squeeze every bit of nostalgia from fans before the reboot. Kinda sucks.
On the other hand, Isaac Clarke's mental deterioration looks WAY fun and I'm really psyched for it.

They're trying to give the most bang for your buck it seems, combining Mercs from re4 and re5, throwing in new characters and numerous online modes. Looks good to me.

Oh come on... Do they really expect us to believe there's only four playable characters? I s'pose we'll have to unlock the likes of Leon, Ada and Wesker, but there's no way they're not in it when there are stages set in a certain Spanish village.

On topic: This game looks simply incredible. I can't believe handhelds have come so far. I can't wait to set this bad-boy down next to my Game & Watch (the old orange dual screen one) and reflect on how awesome it is to grow up with gaming.

i hope there's a no time-limit mode. i felt RE: Mercs would be better as an endless survival mode instead of a frantic race against the clock. still, this looks awesome.

Hell look at how wesker got his powers in the first place.
To me I always though the final battle against wesker would require the whole cast of RE with chris getting the finishing move. They kinda gotta make up for the final better in RE5 what a let down that was
