Test Drive Unlimited 2 trailer features character customization, hot beats

Atari and Eden Games have sent along another Test Drive Unlimited 2 trailer, this time focusing on character customization, from in-game cosmetic surgery to your very own house designs. Bonus: The Ibiza music in the trailer doubles as a test of your speakers' woofers!

Well at least it has one good thing going for it. And by that I mean the beatz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wonder how well this game is going to do. its looking really good so far. I just hope all this advertising and gameplay showing is for nothing. I truly hate flops. (HIGH hopes, Low Expectations)

I must have been mistaken. I came here expecting to see a trailer for a racing game, what I got was a trailer for a dress up game.

I don't quite know what to expect, am going to pre-order this game, but is it playstation home? Need a trailer with.... cars....

Having been in the beta, it's more than just this customization. To me, it'll be more about just free-roaming in sweet cars than "pimping my pad". Some of the multiplayer race modes are interesting and entertaining as well. It's not a Forza or GT, but it should be fun. And heck, as long as I can own my 350Z in game as well, I'll be a happy camper :)

Please note that this isn't purely a racing game. It tries to emulate most aspects of the "luxury life"

I spend all my time in First person view in Forza and other racing games so I don't care what my guy looks like. Think I will skip this one in favor of Shift 2.

You do know you can play in 1st person in TDU2, right?

And nobody is forcing you to customize your driver.

I enjoyed the driving bits from the first one so I will at least give the demo a shot.

I'm a serious racing game fan. Forza, Gran Turismo, and lesser known titles like Live for Speed just to name a few. I was a fan of the first Unlimited, and it seems that the second is just improving on that formula. It's not GT or Forza by any stretch of the imagination when it comes to driving physics, but the beta seemed to strike a good balance between arcade and sim. The beta also showed none of the bugs that the first Unlimited suffered from, and was actually very solid. I personally am looking forward to this game. And it's really hard to argue with the $40 (on PC, $50 on consoles) price point.

@powermatt What's the point for people to even comment on this if they don't like it? If you don't like it just think to yourself it's not worth my time commenting on a game I am not even going to get because it is to awesome for me.

@camero12 Did you read my comment before posting? I preordered the game on Steam. I probably wouldn't have, though, if it was going for $60 like a lot of new PC games are.
