Friggin' seriously. Gravity was actually a good song; what's more, it was part of what made the show what it is. It truly was a theme song. If you replace it, it'd be like if the latest Star Wars Super Special Edition replaced the score with Johnny Cash songs. As it is, Bassoforte? More like Assoforte.

@JPeak What about the song we used for a year before that? Or the songs we used for months before that song? Embrace change!

Agreed, Gravity is a great song, and it made the podcast unique IMO. Most gaming podcasts I listen to regularly have instrumental game music. The OXM podcast has Breaking Benjamin, but it's still just the opening chord. Hopefully they bring it back.

I've tried to just ignore the new intro, but man, it just does not compare to the old one. Please get a new intro, guys.

I don't understand how the 360 has its best month ever, is bested by the Wii, and everyone still just talks about the Wii dying.

@A Sandwich

Because everything's relative?

Also, the 360 sold more than just consoles, but they also led peripheral sales with the Kinect, which moved over 5m units in less than 60 days. So, to recap: They nearly outsold the Wii for all of 2010 even though their hardware is more expensive, and they also sold an additional 5m devices which cost 3/4 as much as a Wii does.

@chrisgrant sure, the 360 had a great year but that doesn't speak to the notion of everyone painting the Wii dead. November Wii numbers did not drop at all compared to '09 even though Kinect launched that very same month. YoY numbers are down, no doubt, but it is still tracking much higher than the PS2 during the same period and I dont recall people digging that console's grave at that point.

It's all about what people want and what people want is for the Wii to die so they talk like it is. are sales declining? of course they are, bound to happen when they have sold millions and millions more than the competition. new sales may be declining but 'dying' implies that it will no longer exist and that is ludicrous.

and making everything 'relative' only lets you reset the goalposts so you can prop up certain things and denigrate others while hard numbers may paint a different picture. but I realize Nintendo is not Apple or Microsoft so that may be too much to ask anymore.

Sorry, dude, but "nearly outsold" just means "didn't outsell". Okay, sure, the 360 is more expensive, but if everything is relative let's bring into consideration the fact that Microsoft just dropped $500,000,000 on an advertising and media blitz as well as successfully engineered a console redesign and refresh while all Nintendo did was release some good games. And Nintendo still won. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my 360, but all this Wii doom and gloom is unwarranted, and when it continues to lead the pack it just makes that argument look delusional and desperate.

Hey! Wii is almost dead!! just check at its numbers!! only 84.7m units sold making it the console with most units sold worldwide!!! lame 260k units sold last week!! zomg so weak!!
And with the recent release of DK:CR, Epic Mickey, Goldeneye 007, Kirby's Epic Yarn, and the upcoming Zelda, it's going to do sooooo bad in sales!!

/s.. srsly, anyone saying Wii is dead is a total jackass

Looks like Dead Space Girl is the analog stick on the 3DS.

Unless I'm wrong.

iPhone this, iPhone that iPhone everywhere

You huys seemed to be brainwashed that a higher resolution screen plus using a capcitive screen would automatically make it better.

Putting a capacitive screen on the 3DS would make playing games impossible without a stylus.

You wont understand how it feels sicne you dont have a DS, just an iPhone

ugh, get rid of that intro music, it makes me not want to listen to the podcast at all. After fast forwarding through the assault on my ears and getting to the actual podcast, it was awfully boring and not even a mention of LBP2. Let's get that energy up guys! we don't want a repeat of last year at this time!

@Gaddes it's not like it was ever always 100% guaranteed to be at the end of the show, they only really did it when there was a game that they've all played that really deserved discussion

I'm glad that Chris raised the complaint flag on the 3DS' resolution. It's ridiculously low in the time of retinal displays. If the system can churn out Wii quality graphics (or even better) then it should have a better screen.

At least match the Wii's 480i standard def capabilities. 400x240 pixels, though, and you want people to watch cinematic content? Yikes.

I'll probably wait a year for the inevitable hardware refresh and better games. But even then, the screen will be a tremendous disappointment.

A request for Mr. Grant: Please stop repeating your monologue on how much you don't play your DS/PSP and how the iPhone does everything right. That's your opinion and that's great, but we've had to listen to the exact same treatise every week for what seems like a month. We get it! I feel like I'm in Groundhog Day, every week is blending together.

p.s. Gravity was better, but I'm fine with change.
