Fallout: Nuka Break fan film released, we want at least ten sequels
52
We assumed the team at Wayside Creations was onto something special when we saw a trailer for its game-inspired short film, Fallout: Nuka Break, last month. Today, we found out just how right we were: The full movie is out, posted right here, and one of the best darn fan flicks we've ever seen.

Wouldn't the Fallout universe be a perfect setting for a novel?

...and a movie. Oh wait that was Mad Max and Book of Eli. But yeah I agree.

I'm not usually a big fan of fan films, but damn if that wasn't well done

I concur, I'm glad they took the tongue and cheek approach though. I'd love to see a well made serious look at the fallout universe but fan films generally don't have the budgets required to do one well.
This was funny smart and had a hot chick. All things required for an ADD stricken person such as myself.
Two thumbs up

Ghouls don't have hair. Do they?

@Prboi
Though it is rare ghouls do rarely have full heads of hair. The two know are Snowflake (found in Underworld Fallout 3) and Desmond Lockheart (found in Fallout 3 in Point Lookout(DLC) in Point Lookout(location)). Also Raul Tejada(Fallout New Vegas companion) as Well as Desmond Lockheart both have mustaches.

for some reason thats always a problem with amateur stuff like this, I dont get it, leaving the clothes outside for a few days and letting them get realistically dirty doesnt cost anything but nobody ever does it

So the ghoul makeup wasn't spot-on, but I could immediately tell what he was so props for that I guess. Otherwise, excellent all around.

You can check out small clips of how the props were built here:

That Zach Finfrock guy does a whole series called Backyard FX for indymogul on YouTube, they make some badass props from games and other stuff. Handy little guides for any aspiring film-makers here.

Props, setting, and game integration were awesome very well done! The dialogue was way too cheesy but overall fans of the game should be pleased. Oh and that chick had a great body... Her face looked a little ghoulish...

I wish more fan films were intentionally comedic, like this one. While the Half-Life ones are cool eye-candy, the story/dialogue/acting/ is soooo cringe inducing.

They didn't nail the feel of Fallout 3. Their movements were realustic, their acting was good and they didn't freeze.
This was a fantastic fan made film.
