It comes with the Collector's Edition of DS2, afaik. I really want to play it too, but my problem is that I don't have a Move, and don't really want one. I guess if I can stomach playing it in ED, I could get the Wii version for $10...

I was hoping it would be on the disc like frontlines was on medal of honor.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I think Dead Space is gonna be the same deal as MoH was.

I think the PS3 versions are the "special editions" and they come with Extraction. But that MIGHT only be the collectors edition.

i think if i red correctly it's on the DS2 Disc ( in the CE version ) so i don't think you need the internet if that's the case but if you don't get the CE version you will need the interest too get it. as i said .. i think i read it was on the DS2 Disc it didn't say it was a code too where i read it

Also for those who say it comes with the game for pre-order that's Dead Space IGNITION not Extraction

It's about time for some deadspacearooing.

I've been doing some thinking about Dead Space 2 over the last two weeks...

I'm in the camp that is annoyed that the game has gone in a Gears of War direction and not a Silent Hill one. The first game didn't have as much survival horror in it as I hoped, but I agreed with those who compared it to Alien. In the spirit of comparing the game to Alien, Aliens (the sequel) was much basically an action movie, and had little of the tension and terror of the original (much to the dismay of many fans of the original, I would imagine).

What I'm getting at is, despite the game almost entirely falling off my radar, it becoming an action franchise almost seems to make sense; even if it is coincidental with EA's "Make Issac kick more ass and you'll sell more copies" business plan.

Hopefully, for fans of this series, the trend won't continue to follow in the footsteps of the clunky and boring Alien³.

I find it interesting that people still equate "survival horror" solely with shitty controls or artificially limited ammunition. DS was scary as hell, and Resident Evil 4 was arguably the best in the series.

I want to know why people think it's an action game now? Did they play the demo? It seemed very faithful to the first dead space.

I'd very much like for you to prove my assessment of the game wrong, but I don't think you will. Developers have plainly outlined in which ways DS2 is different.

@baby sea tuna Resident Evil 1 on the Game Cube was far, far superior to Resident Evil 4 (which I played on the Wii)

Not got to RE5 yet.. waiting for my post, II think it'll beat RE4 for me, because of no Ashley, no one that useless deserves to live.. when ever she got grabbed, I'd often grant mercy ;P

well I just bought Kindom Hearts ReCoded which is a ton of fun.

Two Worlds 2 for 360 to play with my brother, and Magicka and the official release of Monday Night Combat for PC(which are both missing from this list). Might check out that Bulletstorm demo even though it's lame that they didn't put it on PC.

I am a little behind the curve here, DS 2 comes out tomorrow and I just started the first Dead Space! I consider myself very fortunate, oh and I also just started Gears 2 LOL.

DS2 on PC tomorrow as well? Hope you're right, Joystiq. Steam doesn't seem to have the date yet, just the price.

Dead Space Extraction on PSN? I swore that this was exclusive to the collector's edition and only on the disc? Did this change?

Yeah, they said it will be released on PSN quite a while ago. Though, I'm not sure if DS extraction will be on PSN tomorrow or not. Looks like just the demo will be.

Ah Finally, Dead space 2. Of course, being a full gown up kids, I had to pre-order the collector's edition (I mean seriously, a plasma cutter in the box? SOLD!).

The original was my favorite game of the year when it came out. But then again, the game had everything going for it. Interesting plot, great graphics, sci-fi settings, great atmosphere. I couldn't play it as much as I could because I had to stop every 45/60 minutes because my heart couldn't take it. But I loved every minutes of it.

It'll be the sequel to the best horror game this generation.. but which is now horror-lite-action.. & the download tie in when they send me my code

Spread the word...EA did a horrible job explaining this. Amazon also didn't help. Search for Dead Space 2 Limited for PS3 and you will see the pre-populated search results. It does not show in the actual product listing.
