The PC version of MNC will also feature "Juicebot," a familiar robot who will share time with the game's regular big-headed Mascot and provide extra Juice upgrades and money to players. Of course, "Juicebot" is based on Penny Arcade's Fruit F*cker, a character which featured prominently in the defunct Penny Arcade Adventures games. The PC debut trailer featuring the costumes and robotic produce-molester can be found after the break.

Monday Night Combat is embracing its PC launch with Team Fortress 2 crossover apparel and an homage to Penny Arcade. Uber has announced that purchases made by February 1 will grant access to crossover costumes from (and in) Team Fortress 2 and Monday Night Combat.
The PC version of MNC will also feature "Juicebot," a familiar robot who will share time with the game's regular big-headed Mascot and provide extra Juice upgrades and money to players. That's about right, actually. Each team has a bunch of robots/creeps that march in waves towards the enemy base, just like Dota. There are towers in your base to defend against them (although in MNC you have to build them yourself) and you power your hero up over time (albeit with money, not experience).

"Produce-molester" should not be a thing. Why is it a thing?

It just got a little bit more TF2-y.

YES! F#CK THAT CRATE!
Most TF2 players hate those crates.
It's seriously ironic that a game which obviously pulls it's classes from TF2 would reference those classes with items.

It's ironic that a game that was heavily criticized for copying the TF2 look and classes would have items released for it that reinforces those class ideas.

@MrAlex
So reading is beyond your abilities?
3. coincidental; unexpected
It certainly is unexpected.
But ok, let's look up a different definition on another site.
•Irony (from the Ancient Greek εἰρωνεία eirōneía, meaning hypocrisy, deception, or feigned ignorance) is a situation, literary technique, or rhetorical device, in which there is an incongruity, discordance, or unintended connection with truth
Ironic
•Both coincidental and contradictory in a humorous or poignant and extremely improbable way
The game was openly mocked for being a rip-off of TF2. The classes in the game have direct equals in TF2 with the exception of the Medic and one other.
The game is released for the pc, and as a bonus for buying it early, items are added which COME DIRECTLY FROM THE TF2 CLASSES THE CLASS IN MONDAY NIGHT COMBAT ARE BASED OF OFF.
Yes, that's very ironic.
The denying of this is simply to be a trendy bastard who likes to point out when things aren't ironic, even when they are, and apparantly don't know the definition of the word itself.
It's ironic the company who was mocked for making a rip-off of TF2 would implement items into the game that would reinforce this.

Uh, if the game is commonly compared to Team Fortress 2 then it would make perfect sense to do a TF2 crossover. That's not the opposite of what you'd expect, that IS what you'd expect. It's not like I have an ulterior motive here; I just think it's not ironic.

@Acosta02
The comparisions weren't favorable.
It would be like a Call of Duty game coming out, set in the future and looking like a rip-off of Halo. People defend it saying "It's not a Halo rip-off".
The a DLC comes out that adds "Spartan Armor", and "Warthog vehicles."

OK, here's where I predict what's happening on the Team Fortress 2 forums. I don't read them so someone else will have to tell me how accurate it is.
Poster: "Man, this is stupid. This game is just a TF2 ripoff. I'm only buying it for the hats, I'm never playing this wannabe TF2."

Oh no. Not effing TF2 hat camping morons in my MNC. I was hoping the whole ignorant 'it's a tf2 knockoff' would keep them away!

Just because a game is a class based shooter doesn't make it a TF2 ripoff.

If this was on Mac, I'd so get it just for the Penny Arcade crossover, even though I already own it on XBLA (well, and because it's an awesome game).

God damnit, I already have this game on XBLA and had zero plans to repurchase it.
F*** the completionist in me and this exclusive bullshit.
